Aunque siempre me he confesado que soy amante del clima frío, cuando toca pasar los meses de verano, tengo que conseguir la manera de no sofocarme con las altas temperaturas. Y qué mejor forma que comiendo helados, tan fríos como ese clima que paso tres meses añorando que vuelva.
Luego de un largo paseo por la plaza de Banfield, nos fuimos directamente a una heladería que está ubicada justo al frente, llamada Iupy, de la cual me había comentado también mi hijo mayor, sobre todo porque sabe que estoy en la cacería eterna de probar milkshakes en distintos lugares.
De entrada me encantó la decoración toda rosa, aunque ese color no es mi favorito, a una heladería le viene perfecto, porque te imaginas un cremoso helado de fresas, o frutillas, como le llaman acá.
En la enorme pizarrra que tienen detrás del mostrador, se pueden ver la gran cantidad de sabores que ofrecen, la mayoría relacionados a golosinas que se conocen en el mercado, como pueden ser Oreo, Bon o Bon, o los chupetines Pico Dulce.
Pedimos una milkshake, con la ingrata sorpresa de que no lo estaban haciendo por falta de vasos! Mi cabeza estuvo a punto de volarse, pues en un negocio, esa no puede ser una respuesta al cliente, sobre todo si es la primera vez que los visita.
Desde ese momento, pensé que tengo que traer conmigo siempre un vaso para evitar inconvenientes como ese. Igual no está de más llevarlo en la cartera, pues, por ejemplo, en Starbucks tienen una promoción en la que te dan descuentos si llevas tu propio vaso, lo cual me parece genial!
Ese día pedimos una barquilla doble, pero no de doble bola de chocolate, sino que la galleta viene con dos "cabezas" para colocar los sabores por separado. Eso lo conocí fue acá, ya que en mi país, nunca ví que las hicieran así.
Con la escogencia de sabores, fue necesario imponerme un poco, ya que conociendo las de mi pequeño, se iba a ir por lo seguro como siempre, así que luego de leer todas las opciones, conseguí unas que si bien parecen ser más de lo mismo, tienen un toque extra, para variar dentro de lo conocido.
Disfrutamos de sentarnos en la heladería mientras estaba vacía, ya que de salida se estaba empezando a llenar un poco, inclusive las mesas que tienen dispuestas justo en la vereda frente a la entrada.
Un punto a favor de este local, es que cuentan con promos por día, por lo que puedes ir en toda la semana y disfrutar de descuentos en cada uno de ellos.
Igualmente, el ambiente es super agradable: buena música, excelente atención (salvo por el tema de los vasos - sigo resentida por eso) y todo muy limpio y prolijo.
Ya al final, dejamos una pequeña propina en la cestita dispuesta para ello en el mostrador. Ese detalle me pareció tan lindo, pues en otros espacios colocan solo una caja o hasta un envase reciclado sin nada de personalidad.
Ese día realmente lo pasamos genial. Mi niño quedó complacido con la aventura de ese día, tanto que él mismo fue quien pidió volver a casa de inmediato, porque ya se sentía cansado.

We ordered a milkshake, with the unpleasant surprise that they were not making it due to a lack of cups! My head was about to explode, because in a business, that cannot be the answer to a customer, especially if it is their first visit.
From that moment on, I thought I should always bring a cup with me to avoid inconveniences like that. It's also not a bad idea to carry it in my purse, because, for example, at Starbucks they have a promotion where you get discounts if you bring your own cup, which I think is great!
That day we ordered a double cone, but not with a double chocolate scoop, instead the cone comes with two "heads" to place the flavors separately. I learned about that here, as in my country, I never saw them made like that.
With the flavor selection, I had to push myself a bit, since knowing my little one, he would go for the safe choices as always, so after reading all the options, I found some that, although they seem to be more of the same, have an extra touch, to vary within the familiar.
We enjoyed sitting in the ice cream parlor while it was empty, as it was starting to fill up a bit on our way out, even the tables they had set up right on the sidewalk in front of the entrance.
A plus for this place is that they have daily promos, so you can go any day of the week and enjoy discounts on each of them.
Nevertheless, the atmosphere is super nice: good music, excellent service (except for the cup issue - I'm still resentful about that) and everything very clean and tidy.
At the end, we left a small tip in the little basket provided for that purpose on the counter. I found that detail so nice, as in other places they just have a box or even a recycled container with no personality.
We really had a great time that day. My child was pleased with the adventure of the day, so much so that he was the one who asked to go back home immediately, because he was feeling tired.
