Hello, friends at #HIVE. I hope you're having a nice day. If you were keeping an eye on my post, you'll already know that I want to start in the world of PixelArt, a world that has always caught my attention but I didn't feel able to face.
After my first attempt, an almost lizard, I realized that the best way to start will be an intensive 30 days dedicating two hours of my time to this activity. On YouTube I found some very good tutorials, where with a challenge of 15 different activities, from less to more complicated, they guide you step by step.
The theme of day one was to make an apple using a preset color palette and with dimensions of 16x16px. I still find it difficult to understand the measurements and proportions.
To be honest, I found the challenge a bit difficult. Above all, the shape of the apple, which is not quite round, complicated me a lot, so many times what I got was a little tomato. But well, I tried with the best of my energy to complete the challenge and make several variations.
Also, I wanted to make some simple animations to present my pixelart. I know that for the moment I shouldn't focus so much on animating and instead focus on polishing my style, but animating pixelart is a process that I really enjoy and it's very simple.
In the end, I got so excited that what started as a simple drawing of the apple, ended up being my own bit representation of René Magritte's famous 1964 painting "Son of Man", perhaps one of the most representative works of surrealism.
For being my second time facing pixelart, I'm quite happy with the final results and, from a general perspective, I know I need to practice a lot and master even more concepts and tools, but I think I'm on the right track and with a lot of energy.

Hola, amigos en #HIVE. Espero que estén teniendo un lindo día. Si estuvieron al pendiente de mi publicación, ya sabrán que quiero comenzar en el mundo del PixelArt, un mundo que siempre me ha llamado la atención pero no me sentía capaz de enfrentarme.
Después de mi primer intento, de un casi lagarto, me di cuenta de que lo mejor para empezar será un intensivo de 30 días dedicando dos horas de mi tiempo a esta actividad. En YouTube encontré unos muy buenos tutoriales, donde con un reto de 15 actividades distintas, desde menor a mayor complicación, te van guiando paso a paso.
La temática del día uno era realizar una manzana utilizando una paleta de colores preestablecida y con unas dimensiones de 16x16px. Aún se me hace difícil entender las medidas y proporciones.
La verdad, encontré un poco difícil el reto. Sobre todo, se me complicaba mucho la forma de la manzana que no es del todo redonda, por lo tanto, muchas veces lo que obtuve fue un tomatito. Pero bueno, traté con las mejores energías de completar el reto y hacer varias variaciones.
Además, quise hacer algunas animaciones sencillas para presentar mi pixelart. Sé que por el momento no debería enfocarme tanto en animar y sí enfocarme en pulir mi estilo, pero animar los pixelart es un proceso que disfruto mucho y es muy sencillo.
Al final, me emocioné tanto que lo que comenzó como un simple dibujo de la manzana, terminó siendo mi propia representación en bit del famoso cuadro “El Hijo del Hombre”, de René Magritte, de 1964, quizás una de las obras más representativas del surrealismo.
Para ser mi segunda vez enfrentándome al pixelart, estoy bastante contento con los resultados finales y, desde una perspectiva general, sé que necesito practicar mucho y dominar aún más conceptos y herramientas, pero creo que voy por buen camino y con muchas energías.
