The Theatre of Marcellus(Teatro di Marcello) in Rome, Italy
Hello my dear visitors.
I hope you are well and on this occasion I wish you all a wonderful Monday.
Here in western Romania these days have been very nice even though we are still in the winter season outside it has been spring-like temperatures, so we enjoyed it as much as we could.
In addition to the activities I had I took the time to share a place full of history that I visited in Rome, Italy.
As you have already figured out, it is The Theatre of Marcellus (Teatro di Marcello).
In fact, we stumbled upon this goal when we returned to our hotel after a full day exploring Rome.
One of the days we had in Rome, at the end of the day, when day was already merging into night, we decided to walk for a few minutes through the streets of Rome to see what it looked like in the dark, so after wandering the crowded streets, being very tired we looked for the nearest bus stop to get back to the hotel.
That's how we found the bus stop called Teatro Marcello, and just a few steps back what to see, at first glance we thought it was the Colosseum, being in the evening it was Ambient lit and looked like the Colosseum, only after we took a few steps closer to it we realized it was something else.
Seeing that we still have a few minutes before the bus comes, we decided to get a little closer to see what it is, so we discovered that the building with an amazing architecture was called Teatro di Marcello, unfortunately we were too tired to walk around but even at that time it was closed.
So the next day we decided to return to this place to see what it's all about, from the data obtained from the internet it seems that the entrance is free and the visiting hours are between 9-6 (so it was).
From the hotel it took us about 15 minutes by bus and then we arrived in this wonderful place, and look free in an archaeological site just for us and the rest of Europe (yes there were many tourists probably because it was the weekend).
Typical Italian atmosphere.
Come inside with me😉
Since entering the site I saw evidence of the passage of history many remains of the old walls and even old writings, actually at every step I found something interesting.
I should mention that access to the inside of the theatre was forbidden so I could only admire it from the outside, but don't worry and there is a lot to see here.
Our visit here lasted about an hour, if you happen to be in Rome I recommend this place for a short visit, you will definitely leave here much richer.
More information about this place can be found here.
If you liked what you saw and read here please don't forget to give a LiKe, Follow, reBlog or a Comment, for all this I thank you, and until the next post I say goodbye.
P.S. The attached pictures you have just seen are taken by me with my mobile phone, and the text is also designed by me.
Yours @triplug😉
