It is not a conspiracy theory, and I do not think that all companies practice it but I know that it exists and some do practice it and in some countries it is persecuted and in other countries it is not, planned obsolescence who does not know it is making things end failing on a certain date or having a certain lifespan so that you have to buy that product again

There are several epic cases, and the first were nylon stockings, but those first stockings that were made for women, for women's legs, were great, they never broke, they were tremendously resistant and that caused a small economic problem for the companies that manufactured them. stockings because of course you were selling a stocking and it was for that woman for life, so they came to the conclusion that it was better to change the material of the stocking so that it would break and then they could sell more stockings.

There are more cases, very well documented light bulbs, if there were any, there will be Planned Obsolescence currently and in the future, as an example, the light bulb in the Chicago fire station that was one of Edison's light bulbs has been working for 80 years.

I think it is more positive that the product lasts as long as it should, that you do not use a special material so that it breaks, it breaks sooner, but of course, there were people who were dedicated, there were professionals who were dedicated to repairing socks, I am a supporter that is resistant and lasts as long as possible.
