The trip that brought us together

Happy weekend everyone, try to enjoy every moment of your weekend cause the next one comes in about five days from now.

Meeting people is inevitable when traveling cause you won't be alone in that vehicle you're about to board, so guess what "A lot of people will join you and there are some you'll have a conversation with" I've met a lot of fascinating people but this particular person came into my life at the right time when I needed someone.

Two years back I got posted to kebbi state ( the northern part of Nigeria) to serve my nation, while I'm based in the southern part of the country, and journeying to the north from my end sometimes takes days if you are traveling by road, it solely depends on the state you're visiting though, some northern states take twelve hours to arrive but mine took two days.

My family was scared of me traveling to the north all by myself, and being the first time leaving my comfort zone they were frightened, but I on the other hand, wasn't scared cause its something I've been meaning to experience and I get to perceive every moment of it and make memories. Did I meet this person on the first day of my trip well, "nope" I met a lot of people while traveling and we exchanged contacts but then this special someone I met on the last day of my trip when I arrived in Kebbi state, I couldn't find my way to the camp, so I was just standing at the bus stop cause all the vehicles had left and none of the drivers seem to understand what I was saying then out of the blues this amazing person arrived the bus stop with a motorcycle and approached me and asked if I was also going to the camp then I replied "yes" she came down from the motorcycle with her luggage and stood beside me, the one luck I had was she is northern, so she spoke her language with the drivers at the bus stop and they told her the last vehicle just left the park and another one will be coming soon, I was so excited and at the moment she became my Saviour.

A few minutes later another vehicle came and we boarded, We got to the camp registered ourselves, and then went to get our beds after that we proceeded to the room, we even set our beds close to each other, that's how our friendship started, we would wake up together, go for breakfast together.

She came into my life when I was striving for something, she was so pure and free like a bird and I couldn't stop but appreciate her free spirit, the way she talked, played, gossiped, she stood by me at camp, we did everything together, anywhere she is that's where I was always to the point people started noticing us. I was enthralled by who she was and how she made me feel, the one thing that connected us was the way we smiled, we smiled alike.

She made my stay in camp fun, all the memories I had in camp she was in it, from the first day to the last day we left camp, leaving camp was hard cause I wouldn't be seeing her often but then we had nothing to worry about when we have our smartphones, up till date we still talk and despite not seeing physically our friendship still grows, we'd talk like we're present with each other.
