Hello everyone, my name is Joel Gyang Yakubu and it is truly an honour to be part of this amazing and spectacular platform.

Growing up in a family of first out of five kids has taught me so many things, one of which is not being afraid of responsibilities, this is due to the fact that I was always scared of taking up after my dad, that's in a scenario where he is no more, because I just felt that was going to be a huge burden over my shoulders, considering the fact that the fear of being irresponsible was more than the courage of me telling myself that I could do this with the sole help of my maker. The best part of this was that along the way I had to braise up, guess the reason for this positive improvement was due to the fact of me encouraging myself that if I don't do it, I will be more of a disappointment to my mom in particular and to the community at large.

I got to know about Hive through my classmate, who happened to link me through to @ovey10 and ever since then @ovey10 has happened to be a stepping stone towards my journey of knowing what Hive was all about, not excluding the fact that Hive is a decentralised platform. His break down of what Hive was all about was so inspiring and that was when I knew that this is something that could actually improve me both musically and intellectually as an individual.

I am currently 23 years old and I'm pursuing a degree in B.Eng Civil Engineering at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, though I would have preferred a degree in Aeronautical Engineering which had always been my dream, but due to the fact that there was a shortage or should I say difficulty in financial resources, my family was unable to cater for both my travel expenses and tuition fees to study abroad. And that is because Aeronautical Engineering as a course in Nigerian Universities was indisposed at that time, that explains why I wanted to study Aeronautical Engineering overseas.

I am more of a sports/music person, it's always been a thing for me right from childhood to this very moment, which is a more strong reason to learn, relearn, practice and enhance them in order to pass on a good legacy to my progeny.

I will try my possible best in ensuring that I devote my full attention towards this great opportunity as well getting to network with other members of the community thereafter making a positive impact to my self and to the society at large.
