As is my tradition, if @actifit says 10k+, it is time for a story! It was the long awaited first day of spring today which is a great excuse to take you along on 13k+ steps on paper day.
The day didn’t start out so nice for the papers. I received a message that the driver had an accident. Pretty damn big one if you ask me.
They pulled the delivery truck back onto its wheels and out of the ditch with no injuries. Now what? Well the news must go on so we loaded all of the scattered bundles up for delivery like nothing happened.
It was a gray morning after yesterday which was sunny and 20 (which is 68 freedom units)
Definitely cooler today but the green was starting to show in some of the flowerbeds. We will be gardening in no time!
By midday, I was already 8000 steps in and the sun decided to show its face for a bit. So nice to feel a little warmth coming from the sky after a wild winter.
It didn’t last too long as the temperature fell back down to freezing and the snow actually started to fall again.
Only light and wet though as it was thankfully melting when it hit the ground and watering the shivering new buds.
Papers delivered, it was time for a visit to the dog park with the furry guy. The ground is a bit mushy but not too bad considering how much snow melted in the last couple weeks.
So, you see it feels like spring is still fighting its way in and winter is not giving up just yet. Birdhouse tree may have snow on its bark but there are little buds way up on the branches.
13k steps on the first day or spring as we straddle a couple seasons. Before long, we will be green and the evenings will be longer. Good thing as I am about done with winter but am sure we will have ate least 1 more snow to rub it in before we are done.
