Hola mis queridos Hivers, y amigos de la comunidad @pinmapple mi saludo para ustedes con mucho respeto y cariño. Me encuentro nuevamente con ustedes en esta hermosa comunidad, la cual nos permite conocer el mundo entero atreves de imágenes, sin la necesidad de salir de casa.
Para mi es una comunidad ideal, ya que leyendo los blog de los usuarios de esta plataforma, conocemos las culturas tanto religiosas como gastronómicas, los paisajes y la naturaleza de diferente países y pueblos del globo terráqueo. Es una comunidad que nos permite pasear nuestra mente, viviendo los sueños que todavía no hemos hecho realidad.

Yesterday my husband @gpache and I were invited by the parish where we do apostolic life to go on pilgrimage to the National Shrine of the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Coromoto. According to some people who have traveled, this basilica is a little smaller than St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican-Rome. It has capacity for about 2,500 people inside the Basilica, and can hold more than 50,000 people in the surrounding area. It has an approximate height of 75 meters, with a square around it called Piazza de Spigots.

It is a Basilica where the original relic of the Virgin of Coromoto, patron saint of Venezuela and of the Archdiocese of Caracas, capital of Venezuela, is kept. It is located 25 kilometers from the city of Guanare, Portuguesa State, Venezuela.

El día de ayer mi esposo @gpache y mi persona fuimos invitados por la parroquia donde hacemos vida apostólica para peregrinar al Santuario Nacional de la Basílica Menor Nuestra Señora de Coromoto. Según cuentan algunas personas que han viajado, esta basílica es un poco más pequeña que la Basílica de San Pedro en el Vaticano-Roma. Tiene capacidad para unas 2.500 personas en el interior de la Basílica, y puede albergar más de 50.000 personas, en sus alrededores. Posee una altura aproximada de 75mtrs, cuenta con una plaza a su alrededor llamada plaza de Espigas.
Es una Basílica donde se alberga la reliquia original de la virgen de la Coromoto, patrona de Venezuela y de la Arquidiócesis de Caracas capital de Venezuela y se encuentra ubicada a 25 kilómetros de la ciudad de Guanare, Estado Portuguesa, Venezuela.

The devotion and veneration to the Virgin of Coromoto has left an indelible mark in the heart of every Venezuelan. Every year on May 28th, pilgrimages go out from all the towns of Venezuela, mainly from the cities closest to the city of Guanare, no matter how poor the people are, they look for a way to attend this day. La devoción y veneración a la virgen de Coromoto ha dejado una huella imborrable en el corazón de cada venezolano. Todos los 28 de mayo de cada año salen peregrinaciones de todos los pueblos de Venezuela, principalmente de las ciudades más cercanas a la ciudad de Guanare, por muy pobre que sea el pueblo, buscan la manera de asistir este día. Cada niño, joven y adulto mayor, al observarlos mostraban en su rostro la alegría y emoción que estaban viviendo, que para cada uno es inolvidable.

Although I live only two hours away from the city of Guanare, this is the first time I visit this Basilica. At 5:45 in the morning we met in the parish of San Jose to leave at 6:00 am to this destination, we left three buses full of people including children, youth and adults. Along the way we met buses and buses loaded with people heading to the same destination.

Upon arrival I was impressed by the majesty of its façade. It has two pillars built in reinforced concrete and a central nave in the form of a cylinder, inside there are three altars and the main altar is in the center, where there is also a very beautiful cross hanging from the ceiling. It has natural lighting through the large number of stained glass windows located behind the main altar and on its sides.

Les comento que a pesar de que vivo a escasas dos horas de la ciudad de Guanare, es la primera vez que visito está Basílica. A las 5:45 min de la maña nos dimos cita en la parroquia san José para salir a las 6:00am a este destino, salimos tres autobuses llenos de personas entre niños, jóvenes y adultos. Por el camino nos encontrábamos buses y buses cargados igualmente de personas que se dirigían al mimo destino.
Al llegar quedé impresionada de la majestuosidad de su fachada. Cuenta con dos pilares construidos en concreto armado y una nave central en forma de cilindro, en la parte interior hay tres altares y el altar mayor está en el centro, donde también hay una cruz muy hermosa que cuelga del techo. Posee iluminación natural a través de la gran cantidad de vitrales ubicados detrás del altar mayor y por sus costados.

On the roof you can see decorative metal trusses called lattices or trusses and also in the back has a balcony made of metal structure. In its surroundings there are bushes of very good size almost the size of the basilica, the whole floor is covered with green grass, it looks very well maintained. I really did not imagine that so close to my state of residence had this beauty of architecture, also throughout the journey to get to the temple we got small shops that offer very good food and a natural landscape full of green valleys and lush vegetation.

En el techo se puede apreciar armaduras metálica decorativas llamada celosías o cerchas y también en la parte de atrás posee un balcón fabricado con estructura metálica. En sus alrededores cuenta con arbustos de muy buen tamaño casi del tamaño de la basílica, todo el suelo viste grama verde, se ve que tiene muy buen mantenimiento. Realmente no me imaginé que tan cerca de mi estado de residencia tenia esta belleza de arquitectura, además en todo el recorrido para llegar al templo conseguimos pequeños locales que ofrecen muy buena gastronomía y un paisaje natural cargado de valles verdes y abundante vegetación.

Being almost 1:00 pm, the pilgrims sat down in the surroundings to enjoy this nature and to enjoy a delicious picnic lunch, where we laughed, chatted and the good thing is that we met pilgrims from other places who also enjoyed the moment as a family.

In this state there is a breeze with a strong heat, yesterday the temperature was around 30 degrees Celsius. The pilgrims without caring observed the basilica, took pictures inside and outside, heard their celebration, while I was about to faint from the heat, however with the fan in hand I could hold on and achieve the goal I had set myself which was to know and visit the temple.

Siendo casi las 1 de la tarde, los peregrinos nos sentamos a los alrededores a disfrutar de esta naturaleza y a disfrutar de un rico almuerzo tipo picnic, donde nos reíamos, tertuliábamos y lo bueno es que conocimos peregrinos de otros sitios que también como familia disfrutaban el momento.
En este Estado hace una brisa cargada de un fuerte calor, ayer la temperatura oscilaba entre unos 30 grados aproximadamente. Los peregrinos sin importarle observaban la basílica, se tomaban fotos dentro y fuera, oían su celebración, mientras que yo estaba a punto de desmayarme por el calor, sin embargo con el abanico en mano pude aguantar y lograr el objetivo que me había planteado que era conocer y visitar el templo.
