Fun and frolics down on Seafield Beach 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    Hello Hello Hivians

You might wonder what the fluff am I doing showing a picture, well two actually of magpies when I talked about fun and frolics on Seafield Beach.

    Squabbles or courtship

Sometimes you never know if identical looking birds are courting or just having a tiff!

This was the case with these two magpies on a roof that we walked past.

I am still not convinced what it was, I think a tiff as it seems an odd time of the year for mating. I can't tell the males and females apart with magpies.

    Can you?

This was a walk in two directions, we headed up to Aldi a supermarket which has some great bargains that are released once a week.

Oh look a wireless speaker that will be great for when I am doing my yoga says Mrs T.

So off we went for a walk to the supermarket with the idea being of dropping down to the front and along to the beach before coming home.

While Mrs T was off unsuccessfully trying to find her speaker I had seen this 9 in 1 air fryer and wee oven for fifty quid!

That was a bargain, especially as our Halogen Oven was on the way out!

Oven was bought but there was no speaker to buy!

As you can see it was quite large and as we were walking, there was no way we can traipse all over the beach carrying that big box!

    So we popped home.

Then it was time to head to the beach and well what do you know, my favourite snack shack was open!

This time we had the cheeseburgers with onions in a Scottish morning roll..

It was bloody delicious and I was surprised how big the hamburger patty was...

    The price, can you guess?

It was three quid or three pounds or roughly $3.78 according to Alexa.

I do love a view while eating, what about you?

Duly fed, it was time to get to work. The seas had been really rough lately so rocks and boulders had been tossed around like pebbles up the beach.

Meaning in theory different pottery and glass finds would be found!

I of course and am playing around taking pictures while Mrs T is full on beachcombing mode...

Can you see what that is in the distance?

I am used to seeing car tyres yes we spell it as tyre and not tire... but rarely do I see car wheels....

This bad boy has seen better days and is rusting down to naff all.

I told I was playing around with pictures.

I actually stood and watched the waves as they came half way up the wheel as the tide came in. I really should make a gif or something!

Someone wanted to flex their finds, blue glass and textured pottery!

Normally we find loads of clear glass but it is rare we find blue glass...

Of course I blot out the green stuff on priciple but that was some pretty green glass and thick too!

    But look more Blue 💙

From time to time we see surfers and fishermen but I think this is the first time I ever saw someone kayaking!

He knew what he was doing...

I was actually surprised he set off on that part of the beach as it is quite rocky...

I guess I spoke to soon, but he was back up and running or is that paddling soon!

This time Mrs T had an excited voce, look more blue...

And looooook octopus suckers.... There is a different type of sucker for you @jhymi

Do you know what we call sea glass in Scotland?

    Answer .... mermaid tears!

Well hopefully this young lady was not shedding too many tears! Or maybe that is why we found so much blue glass!

This being Scotland and the old wait five minutes and the weather changes was so very true!

The grey clouds were displaced with some blue sky sun and white clouds!

Just look at that on our doorstep, that view is a 13 minute walk from my house. I hear people complaining fo not having things to do that never go to the beach!

Fluffing idiots, appreciate what you have!

Someone once asked me are the shards that we find clean?

Well this is what they typcially look like, but wipe the sand off and then they can go home.

I don't clean them, but they are soaked in warm soapy water to get rid of anything that might be on them.

This time a wee periwinkle shell came home as it was quite silverly in colour.

By now I was starting to get cold.

You can see the rocks thrown around by the sea.

Nature is stronger than us, we would do well to remember that!

We did infact follow the yellow brick road jacketed cyclist on the coastal trail home!

I hope you managed to get out for a few walks this week!

This is also a post to participate in the #wednesdaywalk initiative from the wonderful @tattoodjay
