Greetings to all friends of the black and white community. I hope you are all having a beautiful day.
Lacking any kind of superstition, I must say that I have always found a certain pleasure whenever I pass through the Necropolis of Columbus in Havana. I find it fascinating how, upon setting foot in it, a kind of noise cancellation seems to be activated; an overwhelming calm is always present. This happens despite the fact that it is a place that is quite busy with pedestrians who, to save themselves kilometres of walking, cross it every day.
It is like a marble jungle, full of spectacular sculptures that contrast perfectly with the trees that grow near the pantheons. And when there are no trees, it seems that the view is already, from the very beginning, black and white. Obviously, I could not resist taking a photographic record of such a beautiful place.
I hope these images convey the peace and awe I felt as I walked through its lonely streets. Thank you for joining me on this visual journey. See you in the next post.

Carente de todo tipo de superstición, debo decir que siempre he encontrado un cierto placer cada vez que atravieso la Necrópolis de Colón en La Habana. Me parece fascinante cómo, al poner un pie en ella, parece activarse una especie de cancelación de ruido; una calma abrumadora está siempre presente. Esto ocurre a pesar de ser un lugar bastante transitado por peatones que, para ahorrarse kilómetros de caminata, lo cruzan a diario.
Es como una jungla de mármol, llena de esculturas espectaculares que contrastan perfectamente con los árboles que crecen cerca de los panteones. Y cuando no hay árboles, parece que la vista ya es, desde el inicio, en blanco y negro. Obviamente, no pude resistirme a dejar constancia fotográfica de tan bello lugar.
Espero que estas imágenes logren transmitir la paz y el asombro que sentà al recorrer sus solitarias calles. Gracias por acompañarme en este viaje visual. Nos vemos en la próxima publicación.
