Understanding and honoring others (Being respectful)…

Treating others how you’d like to be treated regardless of age, reputation or religion is what I define as being respectful.
In every line of business, many business owners lack the ability to respect their customers probably because they are well-known/famous or that is just their personal character.

I'd like a share recent experience on lack of respect.
I decided to patronize a popular business owner not far from my area to get my home appliances such as my TV and other appliances and I can vouch for his products because it hasn’t given me any issues since I got them and I become very comfortable with getting stuff from there not long my friend also wanted to get his home appliances so I decide to take him there.

My friend bought a Hisense freezer and I also bought an Aeon brand refrigerator for my home which was tested for us before leaving though we did not spend much time testing the functionality of the product before leaving due to time and my trust in him. After we got home we both decided to leave it for at least 5 hours before connecting it to the power as instructed but unfortunately, I had to attend to other things so I didn’t plug mine when I got back I decided to do that and I went to check it out after few hours just to satisfy my curiosity if it’s already getting cold but it wasn’t working at all so I decided to return it to the company to probably fix or change it.

On getting there I explained to him what the situation was but he didn’t even calm down he just started shouting and raising his voice at men probably because I was looking young which I already found annoying and disrespectful thanks to my friend who calmed me down and I didn’t respond but unfortunately for him just lost 2 lines of customers just because he disrespected a customer and who knows I might be a means of contract for him in future but he already lost that.
After the device was changed I couldn't find the excitement I was feeling when I first came there to purchase the product because he had killed it with his attitude and I was very disappointed.

In conclusion, being respectful is not just about greeting or bowing to your elders it is also about how you handle situations and interact with people around you or far from you and also respect path ways for people business-wise and other aspects. Respect is the key to a lasting relationship.
My advice to people out there whether young or old is to be very respectful toward themselves and others
