Of all the domesticated animals, the horse was the last to be domesticated, probably because of its size, speed and timid nature. Horses were first used for feeding and riding. And before the appearance of the first wheel, they were used to carry loads and tow.

Osim pripitomljenih, postoje i divlji konji.

Besides domesticated ones, there are also wild horses. They are almost impossible to tame, even after a long stay in the vicinity of humans. Such is the Asian wild horse or Przhevalski's horse.

The Przhevalsky horse got its unusual name after the Russian colonel, explorer and adventurer Nikolai Mikhailovich Przhevalsky. In 1879, he encountered a herd of these horses on the Yellow Horse Mountain in Mongolia.

Unfortunately, the wild herds of these horses have been completely exterminated by man. However, the inhabitants of Mongolia still managed to keep rare specimens and tame them as much as possible.

It was only many years later that the descendants of these horses were returned to the wild. So, fortunately, today they are running through the vast landscapes of Mongolia.

Believe it or not, horses spend their entire lives walking on their toes! To make it easier to walk, a man puts iron covers on the hooves of a domestic horse. Those are HORSESHOES. Finding a horseshoe in many nations is considered a symbol of great luck...
And I am happy to share this watercolor with you. . .🍀🍀🍀
