Feliz inicio de semana y felices carnavales amigos de @needleworkmonday. Renovar de alguna manera los espacios de la casa nos trae alegría y hace que existe un nuevo ambiente, más acogedor para disfrutar y estar en casa especialmente para los que nos gusta estar en casa. En Caripe ya hacía falta darle un cariño a la cocina así que además de pintar confeccioné unas alegres cortinas para los mesones y han quedado muy lindas.
Happy beginning of the week and happy carnivals friends of @needleworkmonday. Renovating in some way the spaces of the house brings us joy and makes a new environment, more welcoming to enjoy and be at home, especially for those of us who like to be at home. In Caripe we needed to give the kitchen some love, so in addition to painting, I made some cheerful curtains for the countertops and they have turned out very nice.
Como son para mesones no son nada complicadas solo llevan un paño en la parte de abajo la cual es estampada y una solapa en tono unicolor a juego con la tela estampada.
As they are for tables they are not complicated at all, they only have a cloth on the bottom which is printed and a flap in a unicolor tone to match the printed fabric.
En la máquina pase costura por la orillas tanto del ruedo como de los costados de cada paño para luego colocar la solapa o pestaña haciendo primero una costura para unir amas piezas y luego otra costura dejando el espacio por donde pasará el tubo para colocarla.
In the machine I sewed along the edges of both the hem and the sides of each cloth to then place the flap or tab by first sewing a seam to join the two pieces together and then another seam leaving the space where the tube will pass through to place it.
Fueron 6 paños en total para los mesones de abajo y aéreos. También para el espacio de los condimentos que queda en el aéreo encima de la cocina, corté un trozo de la parte más colorida de la tela estampada e hice una mini cortina justo para ese espacio y quedó una bella combinación todo el juego de cortinas.
There were 6 cloths in total for the bottom and overhead countertops. I also cut a piece of the most colorful part of the printed fabric and made a mini curtain just for that space and it was a beautiful combination for the whole set of curtains.
En estas cortinas lo que más me llevo tiempo fue elegir en la tienda de telas los estampados y sus combinaciones porque las quería alegres pero cálidas porque la cocina es el espacio en la que mayormente estamos cuando pasando nuestros días de descaso o vacaciones. In these curtains what took me the most time was to choose in the fabric store the prints and their combinations because I wanted them cheerful but warm because the kitchen is the space in which we are mostly when spending our days of rest or vacation.
