Hey there, Fellow readers of the HIVE COMMUNITY Welcome back to my Newest blog. I'm Crissiacor, I like to share about exploring the beauty of Mangroves with my Friends here and City of Naga Cebu

There is something magical about spending a day in nature with friends amidst the breathtaking scenery. Lately, my friends and I have had an experience that will go down in history - we went to the Mangroves in Naga City. It all started from the moment we left, and for all, we could be, is nothing but puzzled by whatever we laid eyes on. Tag along with me, and I will take you through our day of adventure, filled with laughter, ko exploration, and a newfound appreciation of the beauty of nature.

Meeting Point and Ride in Jeep:

We started the day at Lote 3. We gathered at Lote 3 to start our activity. You could feel the anticipation in the air, and a lot of us were chattering away at full speed about what was going to happen the rest of the day. When everyone arrived, we finally decided it was best just to have a jeepney, and away we cruised to the mangroves in Inuburan, a cozy little neighboring community in the city of Naga, Cebu. The jeepney ride was a big, loud giggle and other sorts of expectations not unlike the view we passed in going there.

Awaiting Ryan and Setting the Sea Urchin

We finally reached the road to Inuburan and waited for our friend Ryan, who was so accommodating to help us gather some sea urchins for our capstone project. Taking pleasure in the silence of the surroundings, we were just absorbing the sounds of nature while waiting. Finally, it was time for Ryan to come and for us to start our mangrove adventure.

It seemed like a different world as we entered the mangroves. The greenery, harmony in which roots embraced one another, and a quiet atmosphere were enough to conspire to win our hearts in a moment. We placed our things safely and then started to search out sea urchins, with the sticks we picked, for support when wandering between the roots. The mangroves were beautiful, and in no time, we were too busy wondering about the ecosystem in every minute detail around us.

    Nature Appreciation and Conservation

The more we ventured deeply into the mangroves, the more we appreciated the importance of conserving such a sensitive and fragile habitat. The mangrove not only harbored different types of animals and birds but also served as an instrumental protective feature against erosion and storm surges. So, we all decided to protect and conserve these mangroves, as they have been handed over to us by nature with love and care for the future.

We finally made a successful search and found a few sea urchins. Excitedly, we tore them open, and surely enough, inside was a bright yellow delicacy. We knew it was the delicacy of the sea urchins here, and we, therefore, wanted to taste them. The taste was superb, and the bright yellow left an incredible, unforgettable taste in our mouths.

The sun was setting and bade goodbye with the same reluctance as us. It wrapped the mangroves in darkness, and though the air was draped in its mysterious charm, we both knew it was time to say goodbye to this special place. Hence, with thanksgiving to the mangroves with a heart full of memories that would last a lifetime, each one of us made a promise to return to this magical sanctuary time and again. It was a fantastic day we spent with our friends, exploring the mangroves in and around Naga. The beauty and silence of this natural wonderland left us in awe as soon as we set foot on its grounds. We then realized the call to conserve and preserve this very precious ecosystem, the very last intact, for the enjoyment of the generations to come. I highly recommend going there if you ever get a chance. Let Google Maps just drop this hidden gem for you, and you'll be flabbergasted by what marvels can be produced by nature.

It is not so much for its beauty that the forest makes a claim upon men's hearts, as for that subtle something, that quality of air that emanation from old trees, that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit. —Robert Louis Stevenson
