Taking The Bull By The Horn Saved Me A Lot

There are times when our opinion don't just look like it to people around. Well, I don't know if am the only one thinking this way, but I see this play out mostly with family members. They just come up to just want to impose what they think is best for you. If it's someone who is strong willed, after checking to see that your options are the best, you stick to them. But if it's someone who looks forward to get the approval of people before taking a stand it becomes so difficult for such a person to grow up in his mind.

Severally, I have come to terms with staying by decisions I few is best for me, I do my best to talk them to seeing to my direction and when it does not work well it is easier to owe my risk than blaming people for things that don't workout well is not my habit.

When I got admission to study in at Gombe State, many came with this discouraging words that I should not go that far because of lots of issues in the region. I remember one of my senior friends told me that the sun there is so much to the point that people's neck do turn to the back. Hmmmm, that was a hard nut to crack for me. Another person came with this saying that the region is not my catchment area. I didn't understand what he meant by not being my catchment area, I just told him that the region is my catchment area.

Stepping into the reality, things didn't work out as I planned the first year but I made up my mind to stay back. Within this period I lost most of my friends because I refused to follow what people said. I became so lowly and when I return home am being seen like one outcast. This decision was not so easy for me but I stayed there.

As I progressed I became used to a lowly life, so the next year I got admission into the school and I tried my best not to have issues with any lecturer and that was how I flowed till I graduated. At the other hand, my Mom was in tears when I was living for school as if I was going to die there but her fears didn't happen.

At last I graduated, and most of they were surprised when I went for service because I deliberately left the social space to focus on my live and academics.

When you know what's best for you, just stay there despite all. Just the faith that things will workout at the end should be your motivation. Even if it doesn't work out as planned, just make up your mind to bear the risk. A times we don't like taking steps because of that fear of doing something wrongly, but owing risk helps us to grow per time and we can also encourage others with our experience
