Hello to all coffee lovers, I hope you are having a relaxing day on this first Sunday of 2025. I hope you receive this year full of peace and harmony, and that God brings you many beautiful moments in the company of a good coffee. Around here we have had rainy days since the first day of the year, 2025 dawned rainy and that is how the weather has remained in this little corner of the plains, so there is no better way to start the morning than in your company, your flavor and your delicious aroma, to calm the cold.
And as I like to invent many things with this wonderful elixir, I tell you that among my Christmas recipes I incorporated a delicious quesillo of cream punch and coffee with cinnamon, which honestly, had no one to fight with, on the contrary, fought to last a little, hahahaha. It turned out spectacular, I will share the recipe with more formality and details later.
But in my search for special flavors for my daily coffee, I not only prepared a concentrate of aromatic essences, but I recently found a combination that everyone likes, but ready to be prepared. It is the coffee and cinnamon blend that comes packaged and ready to be blended with hot water only. This combination, elaborated and taken to a single package, I acquired it in the coffee and roasting shop “K'aipe”, and it is called “Kaipenela”. As you can see, its two main ingredients are already included in its presentation.
If I loved the guayoyo with chocolate that I tasted at the K'aipe cafeteria itself, I confess that I liked this one even more. And in fact, it was one of my ingredients for the quesillo at the end of the year.
Besides bringing my presentation of “Kaipenela”, I prepared a combination of cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise, and vanilla, and boiled it for 10 minutes in water. I let it rest and put it in a jar that I keep in the fridge and use it when I want to aromatize my coffee, and not just drink it as a simple guayoyo.Today I prepared a Kaipenela coffee with my flavored syrup, and I ate one of the last hallacas left from Christmas. Yum, yum, yum.
This way, I have several options to drink my daily coffee, and all of them have cinnamon as a component, which is one of my favorite spices.
Thank you all for visiting my blog, I say goodbye until the next story that I will tell you in the company of a good coffee. Happy new year 2025 and many blessings to all coffee lovers.
