🍰 Momento Foodie con amigos

Febrero inició de una manera excelente y con esto me refiero a que inició con un buen Momento Foodie en compañía de amigos. No veía a mis amigos de la Universidad desde el mes de Diciembre, así que ya venía siendo hora de reunirnos un rato para hacer una pequeña actualización de nuestras vidas y ¿por qué? hacer también la típica catarsis sobre lo complicada que la vida de adulto joven. Obviamente, estas conversas siempre resultan mejores sí las acompañas de algo dulce y es por esto que de inmediato elegimos Canel Restaurant porque sabíamos de antemano que las mejores cheesecakes de la ciudad de encuentran ahí.

En varias publicaciones anteriores te he hablado acerca de este lugar, pero lo cierto es que no me cansaré nunca de repetir lo increíblemente deliciosas que son las tortas cheesecakes de este lugar. Y con toda la seguridad del mundo puedo decirte que no hay otro lugar en Caracas en dónde puedas comerte una mejor. Mi amigo Francisco nunca antes había visitado Canel, así que hizo caso a mí recomendación de probar la de Tiramisú que, cabe destacar, es mi favorita. Mi amiga Laura optó por lo básico en esta ocasión: una Cheesecake de fresa, que a pesar de ser una opción muy tradicional nunca te va a dejar inconforme. Ambos sabores ya los había probado con anterioridad, así que para esta oportunidad yo quise probar algo diferente...aunque no les mentiré que fue complicado poder decidir entre tantos sabores que hay en el menú.

Terminé eligiendo la Cheesecake Cinnamon que muy buena alusión a su nombre hace porque literalmente posee canela en todas partes. Esta es una Cheesecake que posee capas de bizcochos de canela cubierto con glaseado de queso crema y crumble de canela. Quizás el glaseado fue lo que menos me gustó pero de resto todo estuvo bien porque simplemente amo la canela. Aún así, no fue un 10/10 para mí...yo diría en realidad que fue algo así como 7,5/10, pero no me arrepiento pues fue excelente probar un sabor distinto y, por supuesto, fue genial reunirme de nuevo con mis amigos y hablar varias horas con ellos teniendo un cafecito y un buen postre de por medio.

February started in an excellent way and by this I mean it started with a good Foodie Moment in the company of friends. I hadn't seen my college friends since December, so it was about time to get together for a little update on our lives and why? to do the typical catharsis about how complicated life is as a young adult. Obviously, these conversations are always better if you accompany them with something sweet and that's why we immediately chose Canel Restaurant because we knew beforehand that the best cheesecakes in town are found there.

In several previous posts I have told you about this place, but the truth is that I will never get tired of repeating how incredibly delicious the cheesecakes of this place are. And with all the confidence in the world I can tell you that there is no other place in Caracas where you can eat a better one. My friend Francisco had never visited Canel before, so he took my recommendation to try the Tiramisu, which is my favorite. My friend Laura opted for the basics this time: a strawberry cheesecake, which despite being a very traditional option will never leave you unsatisfied. I had tried both flavors before, so this time I wanted to try something different...although I won't lie to you that it was difficult to decide between the many flavors on the menu.

I ended up choosing the Cinnamon Cheesecake which is a very good allusion to its name because it literally has cinnamon everywhere. This is a cheesecake that has layers of cinnamon sponge cake topped with cream cheese frosting and cinnamon crumble. Maybe the frosting was what I liked the least but otherwise it was all good because I just love cinnamon. Still, it wasn't a 10/10 for me...I would actually say it was something like 7.5/10, but I don't regret it because it was great to try a different flavor and, of course, it was great to meet again with my friends and talk for several hours with them over coffee and a good dessert.
