Day 9.
Today I had no plans regarding movement or sports of any sort, as I unfortunately had to attend a double funeral in Belgium.
Having departed from home at an early hour I’d avoided the traffic congestion and was a few hours too early. It being in the neighbourhood, I decided to visit the Wellington “Lion’s Mound” monument in Waterloo (commemorating Napoleon’s defeat and the end of the “Hundred Days”), which includes climbing the artificial hill on which the monument is placed.
