Is it important for young children to be able to read?

Do you agree if I say that the foundation of a child's education lies in the family? Because in my opinion, the first and foremost education for a child's development is the responsibility of the family. If friends agree, let's all start educating our children in our respective families who will then be entrusted to school while maintaining a harmonious relationship with the school.

In this post I want to share information about the importance of training young children to be able to read. Based on the information I got from the link https://www.fimela.com, training to read from an early age is very important because the age before 5 years is a period of very rapid brain development and growth. Therefore, as parents, we should take advantage of this opportunity to train our children's brain development and growth.

Training children's reading skills is also important because there are several benefits that children get from being able to read when they are still small or at an early age. Some of the benefits of reading for young children include:

    1. Reading can stimulate nerve and brain cells
The most rapid period of development and growth of a child's nerve cells and brain occurs from the age of 2 years. Thus, it is a good idea when children are still at an early age, starting at the age of 3 or 4 years, we start our children to learn to read at the correct stages.
Start by recognizing letters, recognizing syllables, combining syllables until children are able to read while playing. Remember, when training children's reading skills, they must be patient and affectionate without taking away their playing time.

    2. Reading is related to children's mental development
Children who are able to read from an early age will have stable mental development because they have high self-confidence. Usually children will be calmer in facing problems and can even solve the problems they face. Not only that, a child's ability to read at an early age will increase the child's sense of discipline.

    3. Reading makes children have the potential to excel academically
It is a saying in our nation that books are a storehouse of knowledge and reading is the key. So if we want to gain knowledge we must be able to read. Reading is the key to success. A child who has been able to read since childhood has a great chance of excelling in academics.

    4. Reading makes it easier for children to socialize
Socializing or interacting with the environment certainly requires communication skills. A child who has language skills must have good communication. I believe that a child who already has the ability to read well will have a vocabulary that makes them able to socialize or interact with their environment.
