It's June and I've finally cleared all the weed in the backyard. It's probably a bit late to plant anything now, but at least the place looks physically better. No Mow May is over so I no longer have any excuses haha.

I also noticed my neighbours have also put a bit of an effort into their backyards too. Mine looks a little better, if I say so myself, but that's probably because I have put more time into it than they have :)

Apart from the spring onions, I actually haven't had the opportunity to enjoy any of the berries or other produce in the garden. That particular privilege went to the furry four legged creatures that jump around in the trees in the neighbourhood. The two-legged winged winged ones also had some fun too.

There are some flowers on the jostaberry plants now so there's hope yet haha. I just need to guard them to ensure I get at least one taste of the fruits when the arrive. I have been thinking of installing a scarecrow to spook the birds at least. The squirrels might not be perturbed by those. I'm hoping the neighbourhood cats will step their game up with the patrols. They've let me down this season 😹
