Si tuviese que responder la pregunta del titulo de este post, sin duda alguna la respuesta sería "una familia bastante agotada", y es que los días previos a un concierto están llenos de mucho trabajo, horas extra de ensayo, y además se suman días adicionales para los ensayos generales (con todos los instrumentos). Un súper esfuerzo de niños, padres y profesores para lograr que el día del concierto todo salga perfecto, o por lo menos lo mejor posible.
Para nosotros que no vivimos cerca de la orquesta esto es un poquito complicado, ya que debido al problema del combustible en nuestro país y a los horarios de los ensayos, nos toca quedarnos en La Asunción, desde que Miranda sale de clases hasta que entra al ensayo, y luego esperar unas dos o tres horas hasta que este termine, por lo que muchas veces nos toca llevar la comida desde casa y comer en la plaza o en algunas oportunidades comer en algún restaurante cercano a la orquesta.
Cualquiera de las dos opciones implica ir contra reloj porque Miranda sale a las 12 del colegio y a la una es el ensayo, por lo que toca comer "tipo flash" como dice ella para estar a tiempo en el ensayo, ya que son un poco exigentes con el cumplimiento del mismo.
Debo confesar que para mí todo esto es bastante fastidioso y agotador, aunque no debería quejarme, porque estuve por años en la orquesta durante mi niñez y adolescencia y sé muy bien cómo es el sistema, así que sabía perfectamente en qué nos metíamos como familia, porque es una actividad que además nos involucra a todos, pues a veces va su papá, a veces me toca a mí, y muchas veces su hermano debe esperar también que ella salga de la orquesta para poder ir a casa después del liceo.
Y en todo esto hay algo que me resulta admirable, y es que ese ir y venir que para mí resulta agotador, Miranda lo toma siempre con la mejor actitud, muy pocas veces en los tres años que tiene en el sistema ha pedido no ir por estar cansada, todo lo contrario, quisiera tomar otras cátedras como cuatro y ser parte de la coral (ahora toca violín), pero ya sería demasiado para ella y para nosotros, y toca frenarla un poco porque o nos volvemos locos o nos toca mudarnos a La Asunción 🤣
Lo cierto, es que al igual que con los estudios, tener a nuestros hijos en actividades extracurriculares, que aunque son realmente beneficiosas para ellos, implican tiempo, esfuerzo y sacrificio, cosa que sin dudar asumimos por amor a ellos y porque finalmente cualquier esfuerzo vale la pena.

Either of the two options implies going against the clock because Miranda leaves school at 12 o'clock and at one o'clock is the rehearsal, so we have to eat "flash type " as she says to be on time for the rehearsal, since they are a little demanding with the fulfillment of the same.
I must confess that for me all this is quite annoying and exhausting, although I should not complain, because I was in the orchestra for years during my childhood and adolescence and I know very well how the system is, so I knew perfectly well what we were getting into as a family, because it is an activity that also involves us all, because sometimes her father goes, sometimes it is my turn, and many times her brother must also wait for her to leave the orchestra to go home after high school.
And in all this there is something that I find admirable, and that is that this coming and going that for me is exhausting, Miranda always takes it with the best attitude, very few times in the three years she has been in the system has asked not to go because she is tired, on the contrary, she would like to take other professorships like cuatro and be part of the choir (now she plays violin), but it would be too much for her and for us, and we have to stop it a little because either we go crazy or we have to move to La Asuncion 🤣
The truth is that, as with studies, having our children in extracurricular activities, although they are really beneficial for them, involve time, effort and sacrifice, which we assume without hesitation for love of them and because ultimately any effort is worth it.
