    The party corner.

We drove away from the house before midday to attend the wake of the husband's grandpa (his father's uncle). We spent some 5 hours or 6 in their place until it was time to leave. Besides, our little guy is being moody again that he howls at anyone he sees, lol!

On the way home, we decided to check the newly opened coffee shop supposedly for some merienda (snacks), but we ended up having supper. We found out that they didn't have many options on their menu (whiteboard) - just mostly varieties of fried chicken, Pork Sisig, and Beef Bulalo. I think they are still trying to check out their market or maybe they intended to have a limited menu.

We asked which ones had veggies and were told that the bento meals had them so we opted for the boneless chicken thigh bento. I didn't bother to imagine what it was like. Maybe I was just expecting them to surprise me.

Anyway, while waiting, we took a few photos. Our puppy was quite restless at first but he settled on his chair afterward. The location is just along the road leading to the town center so we thought it would be busy, but it was quiet. There were no other customers when we entered so we wondered if the place was doing good. If I remember correctly, it opened for business in January.

It took them about 20-25 minutes to serve our meals which isn't bad at all. We were not starving so it was just okay to wait a bit more. This is what the servings looked like. Half a cup of white rice, fried boneless chicken thigh as they indicated on their whiteboard menu, sauce, fresh green salad with a few slices of cherry tomatoes, and yep, sliced apples.

We took a few snaps and then it was time to eat.

Our Anyongi just tasted the chicken and he didn't like it. Had a few bites of the cucumber and he ignored it soon after. Gave him the apple and bam! He just went for it nonstop. He is quite the picky little monster but we loved him dearly. I usually have to feed him first then I take my turn after he finishes.

    But wait, how's the food?

I think our plate answers that question, lol! The husband helped empty mine because I don't eat much.

Maybe next time we will try their snacks too. Not sure but will see.

We came home straight from there because it was raining. We are so glad that the rain finally came, although it was for just a short while. At least it cleansed the dust and nourished the greens in town. Yay!

What a wonderful day it is!
