There will always be another Christmas.

    Hello, everyone.

I welcome you to my blog. It is that time of the year where people work themselves out just to celebrate Christmas in grand style. Those days it used to be all about celebrating the birth of Christ, but currently it is like a competition for which family's style of celebration is better than the other, and some people end up struggling with finances after Christmas, which is just the start of a new year, and it is a bad way to start a new year. Because Christmas only comes once a year does not mean another will not come; sometimes I am left wondering why people outdo themselves just to celebrate Christmas.

It is that time of the year that we get to come together as a family to merry, eat, and have fun; it is time to make more memories, memories that will live on forever, but while having fun and making memories, many people make certain financial mistakes that they tend to regret for a very long time. Planning ahead of the Christmas celebration and making sure you don't spend more than you intended to is one way to have an enjoyable new year; many make the mistake of spending more than they are supposed to just to celebrate Christmas and then pay the price in the new year.

One must not be amongst those who celebrated Christmas in a grand style; if their financial capacity is not equal, then they are advised to stay within their limits and not try to impress the general public because when you struggle with finances after impressing the public, the same public will say you mismanage your funds and did not use your opportunity well. Instead of trying to impress the public, spend wisely and not go beyond your limits or capacity; going beyond your limits or capacity can cripple your finances and leave you struggling.

One thing with finances is that it can take years to build it, but it can take one a split second to scatter what they spent almost all their lives building. Financial stability is very hard to attain but very easy to lose, which is why one has to take their financial life very seriously and not do things that will jeopardize their financial life because it is very difficult to recover from that. It is Christmas, and a time for merriment and fun does not mean you have to break the bank to have all that. People do all sorts of things and blame it on the season, but there is no excuse for spending unnecessarily.

It is that season where people buy things they need, things they want, and things they don't need as well but would buy them to either impress or because a family member or neighbor bought them. My Christmas budget will always stick to me buying stuff that is of great importance to me and my family members, not going beyond my limits because starting the new year struggling with finances feels very wrong to me. A year you started with by struggling with your finances says a lot about how the year is going to be; the start of everything says a lot about how it goes. So sticking to a budget not above my limit and will not cause me to break the bank is how I plan to spend my Christmas.
