Hello! π
Yes, you're not daydreaming. I'm back. I've realized recently that maybe I should go back drawing a bit seriously because I felt becoming lazy and impatient making art beginning this year. You can't improve if you don't put in the effort, rght?
After browsing references, which felt like forever, I finally found a subject that piqued my interest and sparked my motivation to hold my drawing pen.
Drawing the bird's hair and folds of the headscarf and cloak/dress were challenging for a warm up drawing. Art is fun and seeing the final piece brings satisfaction, but maannnn, the process makes me cry. I wanna draw but thinking of spending hours rendering makes me want to tuck myself in my bed instead. So I congratulate myself for finally having the energy to make art.

I actually didn't find it so difficult to make the sketch but matching the color of the scarf was. Meanwhile, I liked how I rendered the lips. The color is exactly what I wanted. The cloak/gown was the most struggling to render that I gave up refining the details.
I used two brushes, one is a round brush and the other which I can't remember. Sorry. And to blend colors and soften edges, I used the blending tools blur and blend.
For the duration, I think it took me around a week to finish it, spending at least two to three hours a day.
Reference

I chose not to make the drawing as detailed as the reference photo because who says you have to? Just kidding. I'm just making excuses here. Lol. I changed the background color on my drawing to red so the subject's color would stand out more.
Well, I give myself a pat on the shoulder for completing this art. I'm more motivated to draw now even at a slower pace. Honestly, finding time for art is a huge challenge for me now but I'll do my best to make time for it. Thank you! β¨οΈ
