    Bible references: Matthew 22:37, John 14:21, Galatians 6:10, John 13:34-35, Matthew 22:39, Matthew 5:43-47 Deuteronomy 12:32

In our world today, many people have different definition they assign to love. As Believers, should there be a particular way we should love? Is our viewpoint of love the same with people in the world? Brother Eli examines a scripture to help us understand the manner of love we ought to observe.

Matthew 5:43 - Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 - But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.

It's funny, but when I was streaming this particular session on YouTube with my mobile phone a friend of mine close by heard when this scripture was being read and he was astonished as he heard the second verse–which talked about loving our enemies. He marveled at such a statement. He probably saw it as something ridiculous and impossible to do.

The truth is that today, alot of people have problem when it comes to loving one another; most especially their enemies. God wants us to love all men equally. No matter the wrong deed someone did against us, we shouldn't hate them. Instead we should love them.

We should do good to all men. We are admonished in Galatians 6:10 to not faint in good works, especially to those in the household of faith. We should not fail to express love to our fellow brethrens by helping them in times of need.
