MAINE is probably my favorite of the New England States
When you get there, you're met with signs welcoming you home,
there are things to do in the winter, they have both mountains and beaches, and everybody here seems to be pro cannabis.
Maine was not the first of the New England States to roll out a legal / medical cannabis program, but for cann-sumers, theirs is probably the best.
The actual legal shops are more laid back than those of Massachusetts, where the CCC has created an p.o.s. environment more like the Doors than Deep Purple, if you "inhale what im burnin".
customers can see the actual weed first and pricing is very competitive. Home grow is allowed and the available dabs are phenomenal.
Cannabis tourism especially in the summer has really made the state a top destination.
Now you can lobster roll a blunt while out camping or surfing or whatever else the vacation part of state's nick name means to you personally.
Unlike its Northern Neighbor New Hampshire, it has money for schools and social programs, partly thanks to even New Hampshire residents participating in the free and legal exchange of fiat currency for legally grown out of state cannabis.
Maines current state of affairs is that there is an abundance of private multiple day music events where cannabis is commonplace
The laws around Cannabis, especially concerning the legal market are more lax than some of the other opt in States.
The experience is closer to a visit to a specialty boutique than the level 3 bio lab vibe, you tend to find in Massachusetts
Anyway I had heard about The Sushine Shakedown 2,
a multiple day private [music festival](Late night at Sunshine shakedown 2 Winthrop ME
https://www.instagram.com/reel/C_FWYLluWap/?igsh=b2s5ZHdyYXJ0ZHk5) in Winthrop Maine
There were multiple dozens of acts performing as well as a number of food and other vendors
and of course a late night silent disco.
Waking up in the woods, some summer morning is actually quite nice in most cases. People are up and out pretty early and the wake and bakers are looking for food straight away.
I was smart enough to make it over to Event Veteran the Mitchs Munchies booth
Mitch is famous in the jam scene and does a great job with their mobile diner.
Its like a whole vibe.
Sunshine Shakedown was amazing, huge sound systems and so many great performers including Lee Ross and Clevan who got busy in a jam together and eveybody went crazy
Everybody was super cool and welcoming, i got to chill with legendary Story Teller Papa Joe
And met the giant from the punk rock circus
No shortage of dank nuggz in Maine
and so be prepared to grab souvenirs before leaving
