Sunshine and smiles Hivers! Welcome back to my travel blog. In this blog, I will share with you a must-visit location in Cebu! If you're longing for a tranquil and cozy atmosphere and want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, this place is perfect for you! Introducing the the cozy, foggy atmosphere of Tops Busay!
HOW TO GET THERE
The Tops located on Tops Road in Busay, Cebu City, Cebu — just 20 minutes from the main road. To visit Tops, board any jeepney (traditional or modern) going to IT Park. Request the driver to let you off near the IT Park Terminal. After that, you can find the designated lane for the Tops Bus where you will need to pay P200, which includes the roundtrip to Tops and the entrance fee. For your return trip, the Tops Bus will also pick you up to take you back to IT Park, just present your ticket.
WHAT TO EXPECT
You can experience the warmth and tranquility of Tops Busay. This location is ideal for those seeking relaxation and a calm state of mind. It serves as a perfect spot to unwind and momentarily forget about our stressors. From here, you can see the entire city of Cebu, including various buildings and roads, the Marcelo Fernan Bridge, and the magnificent CCLEX. You can also bring your fur babies since this area is pet-friendly. In addition to that, you can truly enjoy shopping and indulge in the variety of foods available at the various shops in their building. Aside from the stunning scenery and diverse shops, you may encounter various individuals here in Tops, including Filipinos, Americans, Europeans, and Asians.
FOODS
Aside from the stunning and impressive scenery, Tops Busay offers numerous cafes, restaurants, and various food outlets. To be honest, some of the food prices here are quite expensive, but the view and the quality of the dishes make it feel justified for what you spend. We enjoyed a meal at Top of Cebu Restaurant, which offers an excellent menu featuring Filipino and Cebuano cuisine. The restaurant located on the second floor of the building has a prominent presence, as their name and logo are clearly visible due to occupying a larger area on that level. This restaurant also provides full-course meals. The cost of the dishes begins at 300 pesos (Philippine peso), with prices varying based on your selections. In addition to the food, they offer a range of beverages and desserts, starting at 90 pesos. If you're craving coffee or planning to visit a cafe, I recommend checking out Bo's Coffee. This cafe delivers exceptional quality and taste in their drinks. They have both hot and cold selections, along with coffee and non-coffee options. Prices start at 100, depending on your choice. They also offer desserts, making a delightful pairing with your beverage selection. You can find oats, sandwiches, pastas, and baked goods like cookies, donuts, muffins, cakes, and more. Prices begin at 55 pesos based on what you choose.
MY EXPERIENCE
My relatives and I enjoyed the stunning scenery at Tops Busay while celebrating my uncle's birthday. Upon entering Tops Busay, I was fascinated by the architectural design. The intricate details of the flooring and structure show that they have innovated this place to attract both tourists and locals. As soon as you take in the entire view, you forget all your worries and can relax your mind. Our visit to Tops was perfectly timed because the area was shrouded in fog. In addition to the fog, we experienced a refreshing, chilly breeze. Although the fog obscured the full view but it cleared up quickly. Some staff members from different establishments promote their offerings outside their shops due to the intense competition, hoping to draw in customers to enjoy their food or products. I've also noticed some visitors having picnics around the circular area. I believe it would be enjoyable to gather friends and family here for a picnic in that circle.
After dining at Tops of Cebu, we take a walk and takes some photos. Tops Busay is incredibly stunning at night as you can see the shimmering city lights. These lights are mesmerizing to gaze at. Occasionally, you might catch glimpses of fireworks or light displays in the city. In the evenings, the area tends to get quite busy, making the place feel overcrowded. It becomes difficult to take pictures without having someone photobombing. If you prefer a more peaceful experience without the crowds, visiting around 3-4 PM is a good option. During that time, the location is less crowded, allowing you to enjoy it on your own.
After strolling around, we finally went home. We didn't stroll to IT Park again since me and my cousin's girlfriend feel nauseated because of the bus. I think the air freshener of the bus makes me nauseous.
This wraps up my journey in Tops Busay. I hope I provide you with some insight about Tops Busay and perhaps inspire a few of you to visit this place! Thank you for taking the time to read! Ciao!
