White sky and black earth

    Hi.

I invite you again to the very center of Karelia, to the remote taiga, where the mysterious mountain Votto-Vaara rises. The year we first arrived there was the year after the big fire that happened the previous year. What caused the fire can only be assumed. But you don't have to have super-powerful mental abilities not to come to the only real answer: the careless attitude of people with fire.

As soon as the mountain became relatively widely known, fans of mysticism and UFOs poured in. Some were waiting to meet aliens there, others wanted to communicate with parallel worlds. Most likely neither of them were lucky, but they started a fire.

I've even seen amateur footage of a burning mountain on the Internet. Such people burned bonfires right on the sacred mountain, cooked food, and slept in tents. Even if they do not believe in the ritual purpose of the Mountain, it would still be nice to respect the beliefs of ancient peoples. Or maybe the mountain itself decided to punish them and ignited itself))

When we walked along the Mountain, we had a truly fantastic picture in front of us: the sky was almost completely white above, the ground was black with ash under our feet, white stones and towering burnt dwarf pines. It's like we're in some kind of fairy tale where evil wizards rule.

In places, the stone base of the mountain was split into almost regular parallelepipeds, with water between them. I do not know how deep these wells are. But if a man had fallen in there, he would never have been able to get out on his own.

It was not easy to move through such an area. Sometimes there were flat stone areas, sometimes you had to walk, jumping over individual slabs, climb small rocks and descend from them.

    Travel farther and longer!
