Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes como disfrutamos en familia del 24 de diciembre, no había podido hablarles de esto.
Mi prima Inés y yo decidimos este año iniciar nuestra tradición en casa y en familia ya que cada año teníamos la costumbre de salir a casa de nuestra suegra y cenar allá o irnos a casa de algún familiar pero nunca en nuestra propia casa y entre nosotros mismos, así que este año dijimos basta de migrar en navidad, cenemos en familia.
Y es que de eso se trata la navidad de compartir con tus seres queridos las tradiciones que juntos van creando, ya que mi pensamiento está enfocado en mi familia y en la que quiero formar, crear tradiciones para los más pequeños me genera mucha emoción y muchas ganas de iniciar desde ya.

Today I want to share with you how we enjoyed December 24th as a family, I had not been able to tell you about this.
My cousin Inés and I decided this year to start our tradition at home and with our family since every year we had the habit of going out to our mother-in-law's house and having dinner there or going to a relative's house but never in our own house and among ourselves, so this year we said enough of migrating at Christmas, let's have dinner as a family.
And that is what Christmas is all about, sharing with your loved ones the traditions that you create together, since my thoughts are focused on my family and the one I want to form, creating traditions for the little ones makes me very excited and eager to start right away.
El 23 de diciembre preparamos las hallacas, el pasticho y la ensalada para la cena y yo aparté un pan de jamón.
En Venezuela la tradición es cenar como a eso de las 10:00pm compartir en familia mientras se espera el nacimiento del niño Jesús a las 12:00 y entregar los regalos a los niños.
En mi casa nos arreglamos como a las 9:00 - 10:00 pm, comenzamos a tomarnos fotos en familia que por cierto, se volvieron mis favoritas del año porque nos vemos muy felices y lindos, los sobrinos de mi tía que actualmente se están criando en mi casa, estaban súper contentos de pasar el 24 así. Ellos no son nuestra familia de sangre, su mama esta fuera del país y le pidió a mi tía que los cuidara y los niños se han ganado todo nuestro cariño y nos pidieron a través de indirectas hacer esta cena juntos.
On December 23 we prepared the hallacas, pasticho and salad for dinner and I set aside a pan de jamón.
In Venezuela the tradition is to have dinner around 10:00 pm to share with the family while waiting for the birth of the baby Jesus at 12:00 noon and give the gifts to the children.
At my house we get ready around 9:00 - 10:00 pm, we start taking family pictures which by the way, became my favorite of the year because we look so happy and cute, my aunt's nephews who are currently growing up in my house, were super happy to spend the 24th like this. They are not our blood family, their mom is out of the country and asked my aunt to take care of them and the kids have earned all our affection and asked us through hints to make this dinner together.

Luego de unas cuantas fotos comenzamos a servir la mesa, nuestro plato navideño contiene: Hallaca, ensalada de gallina, pan de jamón, pernil o lomo negro y en nuestra región, pasticho.
El que preparamos en esta ocasión tenía todo menos el pernil.
Mi mamá al servir todos los platos quiso dar unas palabras y nos motivó a todos a agradecer por algo este año, yo agradecí tenerlos a todos conmigo.
Mis primos, con mucha pena también agradecieron y así, con una breve oración, dimos inicio a la cena.
After a few photos we started to serve the table, our Christmas dish contains: Hallaca, chicken salad, ham bread, pork leg or black loin and in our region, pasticho.
The one we prepared on this occasion had everything except the pork leg.
When my mother served all the dishes she wanted to say a few words and encouraged us all to be thankful for something this year, I was thankful to have all of you with me.
My cousins, with much sorrow also thanked me and so, with a short prayer, we started the dinner.

Después de cenar decidimos tomarnos una foto familiar que nos encantó a todos, para luego salir un rato a compartir con el resto de la familia.
Me encantó mucho poder iniciar nuestra propia tradición y compartir con las personas que siempre están en mi vida, que a pesar de cualquier problema que tengamos en algún momento lo solucionamos y seguimos apoyándonos cuando nos necesitamos.
Espero que este año podamos incluir más personas a nuestra mesa y que regresen aquellos que están en otras partes como mi tío y mi hermano.
Espero ustedes también hayan disfrutado una linda Noche Buena.
After dinner we decided to take a family photo, which we all loved, and then we went out for a while to share with the rest of the family.
I loved being able to start our own tradition and share with the people who are always in my life, that despite any problems we have at some point we solve them and continue to support each other when we need each other.
I hope that this year we can include more people at our table and that those who are elsewhere like my uncle and brother will return.
I hope you also had a nice Christmas Eve.
