Hello Hive Learners Community! Welcome to my blog. In our life, We get many opportunities to fulfill our dreams. It is almost impossible that all the opportunities we availed have proved 100% beneficial for us. For our interest and priorities, we have to move from one project to another project. Although, I have not found myself fit for any project till now but I want to share a project in which I was doing my best to perform 100% but things had written in our fate are irreversible. In this situation, We have to wait for seeking other projects.
Gaming and Sports Projects
There are different gaming and sports projects in Pakistan that were helping in training of students in online and offline world. These projects are working with some brilliant private schools. All these projects are private. All these projects appointed their Coaches in different learning institutes like In Beacon Hall School, Rise School, KIPS and Punjab Group of Collage. Thier main aim is to provide some basic training that are essential for students qualification in the Quota of Sports in every University.
After my graduation in Information Technology, I was seeking job related to my degree. In Pakistan, it is hard to find a job relevant to your degree because there is high saturation of graduates in every filed. Anyway, my five fellows and I decided to run a project by name Punjab National Star Gaming Project. We hired some people that were working with many private schools in Lahore. The main purpose for our project was to train students for online games and sports.
As many students who didn't had any other job option at that time applied in our project and secured their jobs in this Project. First of all, we trained them for different Gaming PC Programs. In this training, we provided learning about some commands and some basic functions essential for the development of gaming application. After their training, we appointed all our staff in different schools like the Beacon Hall School, PGC, KIPS as IT trainer.
My job was to deliver lectures on IT and other fellows took the responsibility to train our staff how to keep IT room always ready for the students and develop IT interest in its different fields. Moreover, we bought seven PC and adjusted them in IT room. There was extra responsibility for their maintenance hence we engaged our staff for this some mechanical hardware work as well.
Disappoinment Factors in this Job
I joined this project with a lot of hopes and dreams. As a fresh Graduate, we were confident to give our 100% in it. But there were factors that made us disappointed after one month in it.
- Low income about 30K PKR/staff member
- Tiresome Work like monthly meetings, weekly training for staff
- Irrelevant Tasks like our staff was engaged to study different subject in Schools
- Extra Time without any salary
- Pressurized Environment from the School Administration
- No extra incentive from the this Project
All these factors forced me to give up in this project. After one month, I presented my resign to the CO of our Project. Although, he encouraged and motivated me for this job again but I didn't find any alternative for the stress I was fighting from many days. I took my investment part from them and Separated myself from this project.
After few months from my resign, this project survived for 6 months. All staff in this project was facing same challenges hence all staff resigned one after other. When I called to CO of this project after eight months, he informed me that many institutes were not cooperating with him hence I closed this project. All projects needs sincerity, encouragement and support from all team members. Otherwise, many projects terminated after facing few difficulties.
Conclusion
Our life brings many opportunities for us. For some opportunities, we didn't feel ourselves fit hence we have to give up. After giving up in one gaming and sports project, I didn't collect hope to apply in other gaming and sports projects. I was disappointed fully. It was the worst experience, I did with Punjab National Stars Gaming Project. I learned many things during my job. I still can remember those days of my life that were full of stress. Sometimes, we didn't give up 100% what we committed with people hence it will be more good to give up in these sorts of projects and move towards other projects. Everything has lesson for us. I moved with lesson especially management with computers, students and staffs.
