Ordinary Day # 2-Dinner Time

Good day, Hiveans! If we can go back to yesterday, we can correct the mistakes, but we have no superpower. The thing that we can do is not to make the same mistakes over again. The thing is, I hope you’re fine while reading my blog.

Today is another ordinary day to share with all the readers/bloggers in this Hive community and outside of the community too.

When I was young, deciding on food for a day was not my task. It was my parents' task. All I did was to eat what was prepared at the table. The advantage was my grandmother lived with us. I don’t need to do house chores. Lucky me or not?

Lucky I was when I was young, all I needed to do was focus on my studies but now that I’m an adult, I realize I’m not lucky. Having no experience in the household is difficult when you live alone.

I started being independent when I was studying for college. The school was far away from my hometown. I lived in a boarding house where my roommates were also college students. Living away from your parents is a challenging one. The difficult thing was to decide the food I needed to eat in a day. It’s so hard. If only I don’t need to eat for a day. Funny right? That’s how I was when I was in college. The good thing was I didn’t need to cook since there was lots of food everywhere. The bad thing was the limited budget.

I managed my life. I finished my studies and now have a job that can pay for my basic needs.

Now that I’m married, it feels like Deja Vu. My husband and I decided to live separately to our parents' house. We decided to act as an independent couple however to end up being a lazy couple. The food establishments are just meters away from our house. The vehicle is not necessary to reach the place.

During weekends or holidays, we are lazy enough to cook. The blessing of our marriage was our town now is changing. Nowadays, there are lots of food establishments that display 18 hours a day. The food establishments in our place also offer delivery service which is an advantage to our marriage life. The Barista’s Café is always our choice when we are lazy enough to go outside and want delivery food.

This evening, we decided to eat our dinner again outside. The dining of our house is extended to another place every time we choose to eat outside. The dinner outside will always be Barbecue or fried chicken depending on our interests. Crispy King is the stall that offers affordable fried chicken. Anyway, today we decided to eat at the barbecue stall. It’s been a while since we last ate barbecue too. The next evening would be fried chicken, I think. We alternate the area to avoid getting tired of the offered food outside.

This is how my usual ordinary dinner went when we feel lazy to cook.
