I think we need to expand this awesome platform's user base. To do that I like to suggest we create an app for mobile devices. If we look at all other successful social media platforms they have one thing in common. They have mobile apps. Even though they are centralized applications, they have millions of users because they have mobile apps.
Why do we need a mobile app?
Most people like to use social media on the go. Like when you are on a bus or on a train. So to do that what is the simplest solution? That solution is in everybody's pocket. That is a mobile device. A phone. With a mobile device, you have the luxury of using your favorite social media app (in this case it's Hive) anywhere anytime. You can interact with your followers on the go. You can upvote and comment on the posts you like on the go. You can check your account's status without having to turn on your PC.
I know we might not be able to put the full hive platform into a mobile app but with some basic things like posting, upvoting, and commenting we can start the process. I believe we will see a hike in the user base as many people nowadays have mobile devices rather than personal computers and the ease of use a mobile app can provide.
If you ask me why don't I build an app for Hive? I have to say I am sorry because when it comes to programming I'm just tipping my toes in the water. So to me to develop an app for hive can take years. So my fellow experienced developers what do think of my idea? Can we make it a reality?
