Naruto The Movie: The Last 🌑

Watching an anime series make a movie is always a touch choice for most die hard viewers. After one has gotten used to seeing plots being developed in a number of 24 minutes episodes, surely doubts would arise when a movie with a run time of 2 hours is announced.
Thankfully, I've only managed to watch some pretty good anime movies in my first couple of tries and this one is no exception.

    Naruto Movie: The Last

    Plot

Placed two years after the 4th Shinobi World War, another crisis occurs as the respective villages notice that the moon is falling.
Naruto, Shikamaru, Sai, Hinata and Sakura must go to the moon, defeat Toneri Otsutsuki, a descendant of Hamura Otsutsuki and find a way to stop the moons descent before it's too late.

Naruto is a series that is long, part of the big 3 and well over 600 episodes and more than 7 movies.
I have a soft spot for Naruto as it's the show that onboarded me and made me stay with anime thus, I've watched all the episodes and majority of the movies.
This is the 2nd to last movie created before the Boruto series began and it's the first canon movie made by Naruto.

Meaning this movie is directly and actually affiliated with the main storyline.
It was a blast and well comfortable movie for me though, and I'll tell you why..

    - Tying Up Loose Ends with a bit of Foreshadowing

So many fans, I included, believed that Naruto Shippuden ended with numerous loose ends.
Yes, we know about the Otsutsuki clan, Kaguya and her two sons, Hagoromo and Hamura.
Hagoromo's descendants became the Uchiha and Senju/Uzumaki, but what of Hamura?
Hamura was completely cropped lut if the conversation and that wasn't completely fair.
With this movie, explanation about Hamura's role after Kaguya's death was explained.
Foreshadowing is for the Boruto fans, the Tenseigan and Jougan briefly owned by Toneri was foreshadowed of being in Hinata, thus meaning one of her children could get it.

    - The Proclamation of Love.

It's been a major disappointment and cause of anger of how long Hinata's love has been unrequited by Naruto.
I for one has been on Hinata's side and after some time silently wished that she'd just go after many others.
After the pain arc, I thought Naruto would finally realize but Sakura just came with that hugging stunt and killed everything.

But in this movie, all of us on team NaruxHina were finally rewarded as Naruto finally realized how much Hinata means to him and he said the words.

And to think she just had to be kidnapped and be threatened to be married to another for him to realize

    - The Animation

Studio Perriot has been doing lovely animations for Naruto for a while and in this show they didn't slack.
The fighting scenes were wonderful and the use of colours and shades in the solemn and romance bit really helped set the mood.
The animation style was flowing so smoothly increasing the overall viewers experience✨.

There are so many other good bits about the movie but it's best you just go watch it yourself.
It's not a highstrung action movie like most of Naruto's other movies, nor is it a deeply emotional romance.
This show finds the way to thread the line between these two genres, making the fans truly enjoy the last Naruto movie.
