Well Hello There Fellow Technicians And Hivers!
We've Been Winging It For Too Long!
So here's the story! Yeahp! We've been winging it for far too long from a workshop manual and doing that makes one lazy and unprepared in the event of when one should be prepared to know exactly 100% what you're talking about!
Now don't get me wrong we can build and we can build real good, the problem is that we might not be able to build this one from the heart! Given a bunch of parts and slapping it together RIGHT!
Now I am going to be the difference! I want to learn this shit by heart! SO I told bossman that I am going to do the teardown and when I slap it back together I will take the measurements of everything! Absolutely everything! Not one thing out of place!
Except for the bushes! That I can't take, not yet at-least!
This was a timely process!
The Right Way!
Trust me when I say some folks don't even bother doing this and I can understand why but I've been taught else!
Lube up every little part that moves and makes contact with another one! EVERY LITTLE PART! Also take the time to actually work it in, turn it in the direction it needs to go and play with it so that is smears every point of contact!
I mean it's more of a hassle to rebuild the transmission because of one little thing that could have been done to avoid it!
Now drop it in likes it's nobody's business!
Ahh progress and some more progress! That is a satisfaction of another kind! Getting all those pieces fitted back together like they never were apart! YUP!
I think that's what I love about this industry, the passion for fixing these things! Most people fall into this category because of the inability to achieve what they want to be, the inability to have drive, so they do the easiest possible thing and thats waving around a spanner!
We finally got the bushes and now we can really ramp up the work here!
Getting There!
Well sort of! I still have much to do! We need to rebuild the two oil pumps on these and we have to work on the valve-bodies! Both of them! YUP Those are the tedious bits!
The oil pumps aswell! Real tedious work that right there!
Now For These!
These really are going to be the tedious bits of this job!
Ain't liking this much! Or rather I am over it! But it has to be done so let's do it!
This is what we aim to eliminate! All that greasy gunk has to be gone! BE GONE!
It's a simple cleanup job and I don't really think anything got hurt in the process of this, but we can't be sure until we actually fit this back into the vehicle! I do have high hopes because the vehicle did drive and only hard hard shifts, so we might be lucky or not! Or rather the client in this case! We might hope for it to be buggered xD LELS!
It really is mostly clutch dust!
This on the pickup sensor is also a big nono! Let's get it clean! And that shit sticks real hard on there! What a bummer to clean!
Ahh the feels of this working out nicely! This was a hell of a effort to clean and even more so with all that gunk trapped in legitly everywhere!
Remember all those solenoids has magnets inside so all the crap clusters up there! It was reall neck breaking! But we're done with it now! Thanks to that!
