Sometimes, when the world feels heavy, I step away from it all and head for the mountains. There's something grounding about these towering formations—they remind me how small my worries are in comparison.
This time I picked the Vesubie Valley, one of the most beautiful above Nice. It has a forested Alpine landscape in the upper valley. The Vesubie, an eastern tributary of the Var, is formed by two torrents: the Madone de Fenestre and the Boreon, near the Italian border.
