In the eyes of an artist, every single thing is a form of art, wether or not they are cool in your eyes. Everything with meaning has a meaning because we put a meaning to it.
Unlike before now, things without a deep meaning are worthless, but then, as time goes on, we now appreciate things that have little or no value, just like the music of nowadays, and then, we call it having fun, or in todays languaging, vibing to the song.
The failure to appreciate the beauty of real, detailed and meaningful art, that was made through hardwork, dedication, consistency, sweat and sleep deprivation, is really sad.
Though artificial intellligence is good, however, the advent of artificial intelligence has come with a low effort art, which is greatly affecting the industry. Music, paintings and movies which used to have good meaning and an impactful message, now has lttle or none of these qualities.
In our world today, there are topics like - Artificial intelligence taking over the world, irrespective of the zero effort it puts into making whatever its making.
Music is great, even before my ancestors, music have been in existence and is currently in existence, but, the meaningful message that is used to pass is grradually leaving, as people now see music as not a means of communicating meaningful things, but a means of just vibing and talking about things that are not helpful.
Lately, i found myself thinging about the music we listen to nowadays. Its no doubt that the song is nice to vibe to. Sometimes, i do vibe to these songs, but then, the only musiic i really appreciate is that which have a message to pass across through its lyrics. Lyrics is literally everything to me.
Have you ever been to an art auction? or seen an auction being held on TV? did you notice the amount of money that people are willing to pay, just to have the original of that particular art in their collection? why is that? becuase it has good meaning behind it. The meaning behind some of these art may move you to tears, as some depicts horror. Conversely, some of these arts may give you butterflies in your tummy as they talk about beautiful things.
Any art work, be it music, video, or even painting, that has no meaning is not actually worth it. For me, an art work must have the capacity to impact people in a very good way.
I'm not saying that art should not be for fun, no, there should be fun in it, but then, there should be a message that is being passed to the audience.
I remember some of the cartoons i watched, though cartoons, it passed a good message of; good will always win over evil. Plankton and Mr crabs in spongebob squarepants, and many more.
In everything i do, when it comes to movies, music, and art works, i always make sure they have meaningful message first, before i decide to listen to, or watch them.
