MAAYONG BUNTAG,MAAYONG UDTO, UG MAAYONG HAPON EVERY ONE!!
It's a great day to smile, even if we face problems. Let's cheer up those who feel down and show respect to those who are working hard.

In this blog post, we will delve deeper into my hometown, Lanas City in Naga Cebu. In my previous post, I only covered my house, garden, and livestock. However, in this one, I will take you on a tour of our bathing area, laundry area, and the place where we used to get our drinking water, among other things. So, let's explore!

Living in the province feels like you'll never run out of resources to sustain your daily needs. Plants are everywhere, free food is abundant, and water is readily available for free. However, while the water is free, you still need to work for it to make it accessible.

Without water our plants will die our goats and cow, carabao will thirst and die because of the lack of water. Of all the well our place has, our well is the youngest because it is built many years later after the others are built, this project came out by the reason that the other wells is not enough to sustain all the people who is living around our village.

"The person who constructed the well is a hero to those of us who live near it. We are grateful for the free access to clean water for bathing and drinking. It feels like a natural gift from nature, there are some wells that are not drinkable, but this one provides fresh water straight from the ground and it's drinkable. This natural water contains essential minerals that our body can absorb without any harmful side effects."

It has come to our attention that some of our wells have become contaminated due to people creating ponds on top of them for their carabao to bathe in. Unfortunately, these ponds emit a foul odor. However, the water from these wells can still be used for washing clothes and motorcycles, and some even use it to take a bath, despite the unpleasant smell. It is important to note that this water cannot be used for cooking rice.

Water is incredibly important for those of us living atop the mountain. Our lives would be unbearable without it. On March 24, 2024, the hot season begins and we are expecting a long drought. However, we are grateful to Naga correspondence who will send us a truck of water for us to use for washing our clothes and taking a bath. During this season, many people will go to great lengths to find water, even digging holes in the ground.

People living in cities face financial problems paying for their water meter, rather than water supply issues. And that's the advantage of those who live in mountain areas, even some time the drought comes.

We are hoping that the rain will come to fill our mountains for our wells be functional. The mountain are the only supply or water because without our mountains there will be no water. That is why people should be grateful of what they have because they don't know their are some people risk their lives just to acquire it. Next time when you try to waste water just because you have enough supply, think about us, out your self on us and realize.
