This litter is incredible in so many ways. Only a couple of weeks ago, our girl, Mirren, was looking rather large, but I still didn’t expect the amount of puppies she was carrying at that stage…
Then last week, she looked over at me and I could just tell she was ready to meet the babies earlier than expected…
The following day, labour started. This was about 4 days early, so the pups were developed well enough to breathe on their own, but would still be slightly premature.
Mirren did so well birthing them all, we even had a late extra surprise puppy after we had thought she had finished delivering!
All 12, yes 12 babies arrived safely and mum is just fantastic. They were all self whelped and Mirren is a credit to health tested bulldogs. I am so proud of her!
