¡A dónde sino a la feria del libro y la literatura, que hoy comienza en esta parte del occidente cubano!. Un evento que se proclama como una fiesta de las letras, el papel impreso y también como parte de la modernidad, de las novedosas formas promocionales y tecnológicas que también están presentes en esta edición.
Hoy me he levantado temprano en mi aldea para tomar el único transporte con garantías de ser un poco puntual y barato para las actuales condiciones de crisis económica del país en sentido general.
Ya muy temprano en las madrugadas, la presencia en HIVE de un post de @yanerkidiaz, dónde sentada en un banco de los diseñados para los lectores en el área principal del recinto ferial, adelanta sus impresiones y vaticinios sobre tan importante evento.
Hace algunos años yo formaba parte de esa tropa de locos soñadores. Que son los poetas. Editores y artista que embarraban de entusiasmos literarios y artístico los espacios vitales de la viuda y más allá, pues casi siempre había algún libro o revista con ilustraciones
Pero en esta también estoy presente, pues, el homenajeado principal de la provincia: Alberto Pedraza hoy recibe el agasajo del mundo editorial y allí ya está en caballete mi obra "huevo atornillado" que es portada de uno de sus más recientes libros de poesía" Graffiti".
Llego adelantado al área de la feria y ya me encuentro con Silvio, sanjuanero de pura cepa y que es el alma del aseguramiento del evento internacional que ahora es provincial.
También es normal que comiencen los saludos de rutina a los escritores y conocidos de ambiente artístico, unos puros cortesía, otros más efusivos. Pero saludos en definitivas.
Este año el diseño de del área principal es muy modesto, muy acordé con los recursos y la situación económica. No está la tradicional fuente frente al Teatro Milanés, tel. restaurante La Casona, pero han ubicado unos bancos de madera de doble vía, con techitos de un material sintético que me recuerdan unos pozos artesanales que hago para algunas ferias en mi pueblito de campo.
A pesar de todo, el ambiente está bastante movido con respecto al público, aunque instante para ver: la oferta debe estar muy por debajo de la demanda.
Cómo dato adicional:Puede que esta feria este pasada por agua, pues en el cielo veo algunas nubes rondando con un carácter bastante gris.
En poco tiempo comienza la gala inaugural en el emblemático teatro Milanés, lugar donde se filmaron algunas escenas de la afamada película" la bella de la Alambra" con guion de Miguel Barnet.
Yo estoy aquí, porque he sido invitado a participar durante todos estos días en un área especial creada para la "venduta" de obras de arte de pequeño y mediano formato. Esas obrillas a las que nosotros les llamamos eufemísticamente descarga'', y que sirven además para ir resolviendo el diario mientras aparecen los llamados compradores serios y hacen compras de más valía.
Siguen llegando personas al recinto ferial. Autoridades del gobierno y la política. Funcionarios de la cultura y otras áreas del quehacer social. Y yo a la carpa donde ya me esperan algunos colegas que han instalado sus obras para expo venta en este miércoles de feria.

A few years ago I was part of that troop of crazy dreamers. That is the poets. Publishers and artists who used to smear with literary and artistic enthusiasm the living spaces of the widow and beyond, since there was almost always some book or magazine with illustrations.
But in this one I am also present, because the main honoree of the province: Alberto Pedraza is today receiving the entertainment of the publishing world and there is already on easel my work "huevo atornillado" which is the cover of one of his most recent books of poetry "Graffiti".
I arrive early to the area of the fair and I already meet Silvio, a native of San Juan who is the soul of the assurance of the international event that is now provincial.
It is also normal to begin the routine greetings to writers and acquaintances in the artistic environment, some pure courtesy, others more effusive. But greetings in short.
This year the design of the main area is very modest, very much in accordance with the resources and the economic situation. There is no traditional fountain in front of the Milanés Theater, La Casona restaurant, but they have placed some two-way wooden benches, with little roofs of a synthetic material that remind me of some handmade wells that I make for some fairs in my little country town.
In spite of everything, the atmosphere is quite lively with respect to the public, although it's an instant to see: the supply must be far below the demand.

In a short time the inaugural gala begins at the emblematic Milanés theater, where some scenes of the famous movie "La bella de la Alambra" with script by Miguel Barnet were filmed.

Those little works that we euphemistically call "unloading", and which also serve to solve the daily routine while the so-called serious buyers appear and make purchases of more value.
People continue to arrive at the fairgrounds. Government and political authorities. Officials from culture and other areas of social work. And me to the tent where some of my colleagues are already waiting for me, who have set up their works for exhibition and sale on this Wednesday of the fair.
