While I was scrolling on TikTok, I came across the announcement that Justin Bieber is making a comeback. He'll release a new album and a world tour!
I can still remember the first time I discovered Justin Bieber. Back in the day, while getting ready for school, I'd change the TV channel to MYX PH to see what song's topping the charts. I used to root so hard for Taylor Swift to claim the #1 spot (you know I'm a Swiftie 😂) and I was not expecting it when JB's song One Time stole the spot. And just like that, I was hooked.
Printed lyrics was a huge deal back then. I'd print out the lyrics of Justin Bieber's songs (and Taylor Swift's too) and compile them in a clearbook 😂 Now, I realized it was such a waste of ink 😂 (I even pick different colors when I print them out lol) but those were my prized possessions when I was young. I even brought that clearbook to school so my classmates and I could sing during break time. Good times!
And now, hearing about JB's comeback made me go straight to Spotify and play his old songs. Picking just three songs to feature today was tough because I want to feature a lot! I picked these three because they hold such special memories for me.

When my father bought me my first-ever guitar, this song was one of the first songs I learned to play. I'd spend hours practicing the chords, trying to get it right. When I was in high school, my friends and I would bring our guitars to school and sing this together during breaks. The acoustic version of this song hits different!

How could I forget this song? It's legendary in my high school memories 😂 Back then, we a had a classroom show where we had to perform interpretative dances. My friend selected this song 😂 Try imagining their interpretative dance! My friend's dance moves to "Overboard" immediately come to mind whenever I hear this song 😂

This one's special. It was my go-to song when life felt a little too overwhelming. The lyrics gave me so much comfort during tough times. I used to play this using my guitar to remind myself that everything's going to be alright.
