    Hello dear friends,

Unfortunately, last week I managed to make only a few posts to share here with you. I'll try to be a bit more productive this week. In fact, I should have a bit more time. This past weekend was very interesting because I visited some beautiful places that have definitely left a lasting impression on me.

Finally, after some time and several searches, I managed to find a medieval festival in Tuscany, precisely in Malmantile, a hamlet of the municipality of Lastra a Signa, which I had already introduced to you in a previous post shared here in the community. I was delighted to participate in these events, which are very culturally enriching.

Honestly, I often prefer to explore these places alone as it allows me to appreciate the artistic and cultural aspects much more. However, these events also help you to better understand the local traditions of these places. The festival takes place within the walls of the Malmantile village, and here people can participate in numerous activities all within a medieval setting.

There's an entrance fee for this event, but it's very low; I only paid €3. Upon entering through the main gate, you can see demonstrations of ancient crafts, such as how footwear was made in medieval times, which was truly fascinating and something I had never seen before.
Along the path, there are all these stalls, as you can see in the photos, where you can not only observe the production of these items but also purchase them. Then, you can enjoy various performances organized throughout the day, and as you can see from the photos, there were plenty of people attending.

Naturally, from this beautiful village, you have a stunning view of the entire valley, and I must say it's surrounded by abundant nature. I was impressed by a stall where they were making decorations using completely fake flowers. They were recreating roses that looked practically real.
Continuing my walk, I noticed that a medieval military camp had been recreated, which is also very interesting from a historical perspective as it shows even the youngest visitors how these camps were organized, which played a significant role in the history of these places.

Lastly, I witnessed the medieval parade, one of the classics in these events, which concluded with a feast where you could eat and drink in a traditional medieval manner.

It was a wonderful experience. It's always great to participate in these historical reenactments, both to preserve them over time and to commend all the people who often voluntarily organize these historical events.

I hope my story was interesting. See you in my next post, and I wish you all a great day!
