Splinterlands | Llama and Kron’s Last Stand | Challenged by Quora Towershead

    Splinterlands

The combination of the Kron the Undying as a card and Llama as a summoner is legendary. Why? Because if the Kron gets to be the last card standing with the Llama, it becomes indestructible. Not only that, the Kron’s self-healing ability goes through the roof.

But Quora Towershead is another titan in the Splinterlands world. The self-heal and bloodlust ability makes it one of the lethal cards; that is if the bloodlust ability gets to kick in. How about we see the three cards in battle?

Let’s do it. But before that, shall we spend a minute getting to know Splinterlands? After all, that’s where you will find all these fun battles, rules, and monsters.

    What Game is Splinterlands?

Splinterlands is a digital card game that allows you to collect, trade, battle, rent, and even earn from the cards. It was founded in 2018 and is still going strong. The game gives Play to Earn a whole different meaning. By now, you would know that the governance token (SPS) airdrop made millionaires out of the early adopters. It still keeps giving and remains a fun and engaging game.

To give you an idea of how lucky you can get in Splinterlands, read my story of getting cards worth $500 from buying only a few packs worth $20.

Got Cards Worth $500 from $20 Packs

And this is just a tiny number. I have witnessed people getting uber-expensive cards in their pack and selling them for as high as $6500. There is a whole Splinterlands marketplace on the Hive blockchain and now on Wax too. And now the sales of the Rebellion packs, the newest of the lot, have also started.

Bloodlust vs. Self-Heal | With Some Help From Last Stand

Bloodlust, self-heal, and last-stand are all abilities that make some of the cards extremely strong in Splinterlands. Now, when we get any of the three abilities in combination, it makes those cards indestructible. This is what we are going to test in one of our battles.

What will be fascinating is to know if Quora with the bloodlust ability gets powered up enough to take on the Llama-Kron pair with the self-healing last stand.

Let’s get on with the battle, shall we?

The Battle | Frowns and Angry Brows

We will take a look at the rules and then proceed to the battle.

    KLQ_Rule.jpg

It’s a straightforward battle. The mana cap is 25 and all Splinters are allowed in battle. Despite being a low mana battle, it is enough to get Kron, Llama, and Quora. By the way, I am the one with Quora on my team. The opponent has the Kron-Llama pair.

And now they get to rumble.

    The Face-Off Screen

    And here is the lineup.

    KLQ_B1.jpg

The opponent’s team is at the bottom while mine is at the top of the screen. The opponent has two self-healing monsters. Both the tank and Kron are self-healing. That could be a good strategy.

My team depends on the monster in the first position with martyr-ability perishing and giving Quora an all-stats boost. If that works, we are in for a treat.

    We Battle Hard

    Battling hard is an understatement.

    KLQ_B2.jpg

Luckily for my team, Quora took out the opponent’s tank in the third round. That meant that Quora would get one more all-stats boost due to bloodlust. That should level the ground if the battle rages on for long.

And The Battle Races to Conclusion

The battle did race to a conclusion despite the last stand being triggered.

    KLQ_B3.jpg

My luck kept multiplying. Not only did Quora take out the opponent’s tank but also the second card. As such, the blood-lust was at an attack power of ten (5 Magic + 5 Melee). That was crazy stats even for the last stand and Kron combo.

And my team finished off the opponent. I won.

    A Hard-Fought Battle | An Interesting Result

The battle was indeed fun and I wouldn’t want to miss out on talking about it. If Quora did not get the opponent’s tank and the second card, the finish could have been different. Or it could have been the same but with a way longer number of rounds. Anyway, let’s cherish the victory and move on to the next battle!

I loved the battle. How about you? I hope you enjoyed reading about the battle too. You can also look at it live in the links provided below. Have fun! 😊

    Namaste!
