Hello everyone, Hope you are doing very well.
Music as pleasant sounds should be done very well and should make people long for more. I love good music, and I am an advocate of excellent singing. If that will be the only thing I could leave for then it is okay.
If I want to do music, then I want to do it very well, so I train every day, believing that one day I will mount on a big stage and I will do a very good job.
Today I will be writing on something I discovered from my vocal coach, a very simple but hard thing that should be done by singers. It is not just okay to have a great voice, but I think it is very important to learn techniques in singing to sing better.
To sound very good, you need to make sure that you use the right techniques and also make sure that you train yourself to master these techniques.
High notes on a high pitch can easily be achieved if you are use these techniques:
First of all, you need to practice the note in your head before you hit it. As a singer, you need to be very smart so as to be able to calculate a lot of things very fast to achieve them. If you want to achieve a high pitch, then you need to calculate it before you hit it.
Another technique is the what I call "mouth opening." To hit a very high note, you need to open your mouth and give it a shape; that is when some vowels would change. Sometimes the /I/ sound would change to /e/ and the /O/ sound would change to /a/ depending on what you want to do. As you lock your jaw, the sound bounces back and produces something very great.
Another technique is that as you are going higher, you keep your voice very bright because a deep voice will always produce a heavy tone, and a heavy tone does travel very far. If your tone is not bright enough, then a high pitch will be very difficult for you to achieve. Sometimes people would always want to produce a nasal sound when they are bright, but no, it can be kept out of the nose. Practice holding your nose when singing on a high pitch and check if you will sound nasal; if you sound nasal, just try to to keep your face own, as that will help you sing from your diaphragm.
Another thing you should do is whenever you want to sing a high note, just try and take in a lot of air, as that would give you the energy to sustain without having to be tired of sustaining a note.
Another thing I would recommend is listening to and watching singers that sing high-pitched to see what they do and learn from them.
Singing better can be achieved every day if we take some of these techniques into consideration. If you want to sound well, you need to put in some effort and strife to be the best in your singing.
