A life with roots and zulian identity...

    What I like …

I have been asking myself these questions since the beginning of this year 2024, especially when I get older chronologically, with a very interesting age, by the way…

Are you where you wanted to be a few years ago? And now, how do you see yourself in 5 years? In 10? And what are you doing to achieve it? I have many answers, but I start with this one.

It's time to make a change, it makes me happy what I do, and I can change what does not bring me anything positive. Achieving something with sacrifice, makes it sacred, connects us with the feeling of fulfillment and achievement. It teaches us to value things, to know where they come from and what was done to achieve them.

We don't have to wait for other lives to live the only one we have.

As a good Gemini (my zodiac sign) I like contrasts, changes, diversity of thoughts. The city where I live, for now, Maracaibo, Venezuela is an excellent scenario to live that varied melting pot of differences framed in coexistence.

With my well-rooted idiosyncrasy I am proud of my land, of the beloved sun, I adore moving from one place to another and witnessing the changes, its typical reminiscences, its people, its music, its gastronomy, its customs, its lights and its shadows.

I am Zuliana, and I am everything that this implies. I am all its zones, its bridge over the lake, its immense lake, the lightning of the Catatumbo, its beliefs, its culture, art at all costs, I am its corners, I am part of its chronological narrative and I will be forever.

Furthermore, I am a witness of the shades of the Maracucha dawn, as the sun smiles on it, of the struggles of its inhabitants with the impetus grown by hope, also of their falls and their rebirths. And I will continue to witness in an omniscient and at the same time protagonist way the unfolding of the history of this great city that fills my soul, and refuses to ever give up.

That is the wealth that endures, to achieve what we want.

The good news is that if we can give our life a new direction, that can give us greater happiness.

You have to be from Zulia, to feel how big this beautiful city is. He is part of a wonderful and STRONG and BRAVE country. With the most loving and cheerful people in the world.

And as a good Zulian and Venezuelan, I follow her example, the example that every citizen of this country continues to give. For this it is necessary that there is a greater force, determination, a solid hope for something better that impels us to act.

And no message could be clearer. A life without effort is a sterile life and without any notion of true valuation. If you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself, and then make a change.

My city is much more than its nature, it is the talent, tenacity and resilience of its people. Good things to think about that happen every day, in these days of February, month of love and friendship…

My gaze captured in some photos in my walk around my hometown.

Be the change you want to see in the world…
