this topic here brings out the selfless and selfish love most fathers has for their daughters
it's not every father that can even muster the patience or live and accept the fact that their daughter has a boyfriend
it takes a patient and very understanding man to accept the fact that thier daughter has a boyfriend talkmore of getting to know them.
you know' in africa it's not even a common culture for girls especially the teen ones to have boyfriends even though many of them have one, but secretly.
*I think as guys or human beings we don't live by that golden law of do unto others as you want them to do unto you.
many guys or let me say father's knows how they think when they were teenage boys growing, they would not want guys around thier daughter
father's have this love mixed with rage when it comes to their daughters, the kind of love that if care is not taken becomes an obsession
it's only few father's that has the decipline to want to know and meet thier daughters boyfriend, even at that they are not really interested in meeting the boyfriend, they just want to be able to police their daughter
you'll see that the first meeting with the boyfriends is not getting to
bond with the boyfriend but to know the guys intention and family, work,educational background
*if you are a boyfriend and you are lucky enough to get through the first day meeting your girlfriends dad, then you are in.
you see' men are jealous creatures, that's why its more easier for you to see women endure a man that cheats than see a man keep up with a woman that cheats
men in general doesn't like sharing what they hold dear to their heart with anyone,
this jelousy extends to not only their wives but to their daughters
*another reason they are always so hostile to their daughters boyfriend at first is that they assume that the guy has the same thought in his head as every other guy would, which is to make out with every girl they come across
fathers are always more protective and less harsh to their daughters than thier sons
but as they get to know the boyfriends they start getting more comfortable around him and the more comfortable they get with the guy the less protective they get
because thier trust has being earned
fathers and boyfriends don't bond so easily but with the right attitude and a show of being responsible then that gap can be merged
