La universidad, un sueño que no pude alcanzar.
Cuando tenía 18 años me mude de mi tierra natal san tomé a la isla de Margarita, con muchos sueños e ilusiones a estudiar en la UDO Nueva Esparta, pero les confieso que lo que iba a estudiar no me gustaba pero eso fue lo que me salio, Acuicultura Marina pero mi esperanza era poder cambiarme de carrera, pero solo hice 2 semestres en la universidad, porque esos 2 semestres hubo huelga y yo no estaba acostumbrada a nada de eso mi vida había sido siempre muy tranquila y eso me produjo mucho temor, tanto que hice todos los tramites y me retire de la universidad, en control de estudio trataron de persuadirme de muchas formas para que no me retirara, que congelara el semestre, pero no lograron convencerme, siempre e lamentando esa decisión.
Yo quería estudiar educación en el Pedagogíco de Maturín pero mi mamá me dijo o es en Margarita o no es en ninguna parte, porque allá yo puedo en Maturín no, cuando llego la Misión Sucre empecé a estudiar ahí e hice 4 semestres de ingeniería pero era demasiado difícil asistir a clases los viernes en la noche, sábado todo el día y domingo, por que donde daban las clases quedaba muy lejos y no era una buena zona, así que desistí nuevamente.
Pero me hice el firme propósito de que mis 3 hijos estudiaran en la universidad en la carrera que ellos eligieran sin importar que tanto tuviera que hacer para que ellos lograran graduarse en la universidad y puedo decir con satisfacción, ¡Misión cumplida! Ojalá que siempre los padres pudieran ayudar a sus hijos a entrar a la universidad y que logren alcanzar sus metas en la carrera deseada.

The university, a dream that I could not achieve.
When I was 18 years old I moved from my homeland to the island of Margarita, with many dreams and illusions to study in the UDO Nueva Esparta, but I confess that what I was going to study I did not like but that was what I got, Marine Aquaculture but my hope was to be able to change my career, but I only did 2 semesters at the university, because those 2 semesters there was a strike and I was not used to any of that, my life had always been very quiet and that made me very afraid, so much so that I did all the paperwork and I withdrew from the university.
I wanted to study education at the Pedagogíco de Maturín but my mother told me either it is in Margarita or it is not anywhere else, When the Sucre Mission arrived, I started to study there and I did 4 semesters of engineering but it was too difficult to attend classes on Friday nights, Saturday all day and Sunday, because where the classes were held was very far away and it was not a good area, so I gave up again.
But I made a firm resolution that my 3 children would study in college in the career of their choice no matter how much I had to do for them to graduate from college and I can say with satisfaction, Mission accomplished! I wish that parents could always help their children to enter college and achieve their goals in the desired career.
