Hello everyone, welcome 👋, this is my post for the Splinterlands Social Media Challenge!

In this challenge, I will show you one of my battles in the Rise of the Champion tournament for the sixth anniversary of Splinterlands, which allowed all players to play with all cards of every edition at the max level in the Wild Format.

This is a battle that I lost, two enemy monsters were my nightmare: Cursed Windeku and more precisely Corrupted Pegasus, why? cuz it has the Flying ability, which gives it a 25% bonus chance to evade melee or ranged attacks, which is why my unit in the cover image missed some attacks against it. I wouldn't mind if at least Pegasus had more speed than my monster, in which case I would have gladly accepted defeat.

Overall, it was an interesting battle and I realized I could have won the battle if I had been really lucky, which unfortunately didn't happen this time.

Well, without further ado, let's start the battle:

In this battle, summoners will not be able to use their abilities due to the Silenced Summoners ruleset. Additionally, all monsters will lose their armor, and will not be able to receive armor of any kind. And the last ruleset forces both players to only play monsters with even mana costs.

In terms of mana, the limit is 14 and I decided to use all the available slots for my cards, which is not always the best option.

Since no summoner will give any sort of stats or abilities, the best option would be a summoner that costs little mana, and Prince Julian is perfect when available, only costing 2 mana and allowing you to play dragon elemental cards.

In the first position, I put Corpse Fiend which, like a chicken, costs 0 mana, but has the Silence ability, reducing the magic attack of all enemy units by -1.

In the second position, Undead Priest, has good hit points and, even better, reduces the health of all enemy units by -1. It also slows enemies, reducing their speed by -1.

In the third position, I decide to play Undead Badger, which is the fastest Sneak unit in the death element at the moment. And it will attack the last unit on the enemy team instead of the first unit.

In the fourth position, Dhampir Infiltrator, which is also, like its Undead ally, a Sneak unit. It can attack twice per round, and each attack applies Cripple to the enemy unit, losing one max health. Additionally, its attacks have a 50% chance to apply Affliction (cannot be healed) to the enemy.

In the fith position, Naga Assassin, the only ranged monster in my lineup. If an enemy misses their attack on this unit, the attacker will take 2 melee damage due to its Backfire ability. And Naga will increase the speed of her friendly units by +1 thanks to her Swiftness ability.

And in the last position, Vruz, this little goblin like its Sneak allies, will attack the last unit of the enemy team. This unit's attacks cannot miss thanks to its True Strike ability. And because of its Martyr ability, when this unit is defeated, its adjacent units get +1 to all stats.

(Dhampir misses one of its attacks)

At least I was able to beat the 0 mana enemy monsters, a great achievement :(

But as I mentioned at the beginning, I would have won this battle if my Dhampir Assassin hadn't missed any of its attacks on the Pegasus. And so, in the round 2 it would have defeated Pegasus. I would also need that in the round 3, Dhampir applies Affliction to Cursed Windeku preventing it from healing, ending the enemy unit with 3 hit points at the end of the round.

That way, in the round 4 or 5 I would win with my remaining monsters, either through Vriz's attacks or Naga Assassin's Backfire ability. Of course, none of this happened and I lost miserably.
