My Craziest Car Trip Experience

Guys, this was the craziest car trips out of multiple that I have had in years. Like seriously, the Ughelli to Abraka trip was a crazy one and it's a trip I would never forget in my life time since it has become part of some of my craziest adventures.

A journey of an hour took me just 25miniutes to complete. Guys, it was a journey filled with pure adrenaline and questionable decision making. Even till today, I still don't know how I made that trip possible within that time frame.

Here is the gist, I was relocating to Abraka and my belongings were already on a truck which I was supposed to direct to my new place on arrival. Unfortunately for me, the landlord decided to test my patience with unnecessary delays which made the truck leave before me.

This left me with no other option than to drive as fast as I could so I could catch up with the truck before it gets to the destination. Like I earlier said, the destination was an unknown one for the truck drive and I was suppose to guide him. This totally activated my panic mode.

So with a heart pounding like a bass drum solo and sweat dropping all over my body, I transformed into Lewis Hamilton on Nigerian roads. Every bend on the road became a racetrack, just as every pothole was a strategic jump. I needed to get there as quick as possible so the speedometer became just a mere suggestion because I was just not bothered about it. At first, I thought I wouldn't be able to make it to Abraka on time since I had to avoid goats, speeding okadas and the market mamas with baskets wider than their smiles on the road but then, the magic happened.

Looking back, I've come to realize that wasn't my finest moment. The risks were real, the stress was immense, and obviously, the potential consequences could have been disastrous. But what would I have done at that moment when all I saw was the truck disappearing into the distance and there was every possibility I might be losing my belongings?

Thankfully, by some miracle and maybe a divine intervention, I got to my new place just before the truck and I was able to direct the truck to the place. I was so relieved that I just has to thank God for everything.

So would I do this again? Absolutely not. My mental health and driving record are worth more than any relocation deadline. But to be sincere, the memory is a wild tale I will always share with laughter for years to come. The truth is that sometimes, life throws you into crazy car trips, and all you can do is hold on tight, hope for the best, and maybe learn a valuable lesson about it.
