My Actifit Report Card: March 25 2024

Old Man Winter gave us a nice bit of sleet and snow at times today up in the hills but overall it was a really good day to be outdoors.

We awoke to a light coating of snow but the sun was out and I figured it wouldn't be long before it melted away. Lulu loved walking along the dirt path with the lingering snow and was really moving along for a change.

I figured that there might be a bit more snow up in the forest but we found only a few patches remaining when we arrived at Lynx Creek.
Several of our friends were there but we chatted for only a short time before heading up the creek valley.
The footing was slippery in a few spots but I didn't have any problems keeping up with Lulu who was cruising up ahead of me.

The creek was flowing well after all the rain but not enough to interrupt our hike and Lulu had not trouble making her way across the creek although I had to go a bit slower on the wet rocks but we made the 2 mile trek up the creek without any problems and we soon were on the forest road back to the highway.

A heavy squall of sleet pelted us as we quickly made our way back down Bannie Mine Rd to our car and the end of a rigorous 4 miles through the forest. We both had a great time and Lulu enjoyed a few treats for her efforts.
Hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow for some more fun time outdoors.
