Bring back the old money: Bring back the old time

As time passes, I begin to think the end of the world is already coming; honestly, that's how everything looks right now. Because of the rate at which things are changing and everything is fading away, you will realize that there's nothing like original things again; everything we have now is now fake.

There are so many things that have faded away. Talking about humanity, we have lost a whole lot of things. Respect is number one. You will see people who have respect now, especially the children of today. They grew up so fast and don't care about respecting you. I'm not that old, but I could remember them saying that if someone disciplined me outside for not being respectful enough, my parents would still beat me at home, and they don't want to know if I'm right or wrong. When there's no respect, of course, there won't be morals.

The rate at which people dress these days is something to talk about; they don't even care about indecent dressing anymore. All because of being social, our ladies have turned to something else.
Before now, you dared not put on something short. There is discipline, and even when your own parents are not around, you will still see who will be there for your children. But these days, there's nothing like that. There is no love, no peace, no harmony. Everyone is just doing whatever they like.

I must say that everything has faded away. But the one thing I would like to bring back if I have the opportunity is the old days in my country. Especially the financial situation in my country. I will say that I'm old enough when we are spending coins. Back then, my mom would send me one naira worth of two naira, and the whole family would use that sugar that was sold for one naira or two naira. I will not forget going to Iya Igbo. That's what I used to call that woman.

There's nothing like one thousand naira or even five hundred. We spend more coin to note, and we leave in harmony. If my mom bought a hundred naira worth of fish, then believe me, we want to do a party, or she will keep some out of it.
Nobody complains about inflation. I could also remember buying five liters of gasoline for five hundred in my generator some years ago. That five litter now. I can't even afford it anymore. And that same five hundred naira cannot afford just a litter of petrol now.

My friend told me how he bought land worth just sixty thousand dollars, which is around forty dollars now. No one will be able to achieve that again. The rate at which everything faded away is so annoying. There are no more coins, and even the money we are spending keeps fading away. No one is spending five naira again because there is nothing we can buy with it, so it's useless. Even fifty naira are fading away already.

It is just so sad to see a lot fading away; things are just getting tougher the more those things fade. So many times I wish the country could go back to when we spent coins because, believe me, we can restore it. A lot will change for the better in my country. People will stop suffering, and peace will come back.
But it always looks like a dream that cannot come true.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a nice weekend.
